    Question Throttle issue after ecm flash

    have a 2000 silverado 4.8 that is being used for a swapped paired to a 700r trans, tried to set up for the trans and changed couple other things like fans, and vats and after the flash the engine starts and runs but wants to die when you try to rev it. here is the before and after of the little changes. someone please help , im a little confussed. also it shouldnt matter that knock sensors are not hooked up , right? cause those were taken out, not sure if i was supposed to do someting in ecm. please help.stock file.hptlittle changes that were made.hpt

    Why did you do that to the shift pressures?

    i just copied from another ecm that had a non electronic trans

    would anything on trans side stop it from wanting to rev?
    also would swaping from truck maf to ls1 maf make a difference?

    would trans settings have anything to do with falling on its face when you try to rev it. or would swapping from truck maf to ls1 maf make it do that? or any idea what im missing?

    If you load the stock file and the problem goes away that will tell you.

    I'd definitely put the trans settings back to the way they were. Shift times are too short. The pressures are set too high, but they won't exceed 96psi limit. Makes you wonder what that person was thinking. Then the shift and lockup settings. How do you even know they are right? It has to do with wheel surface speed (tire diameter, gear ratio). Do you think yours is going to be like wherever you found that file?

    Shifting can be improved, but do it right.

    I didn't see you mention anything about a MAF before. Yes you have to recalibrate the MAF.

    Figure out a way to put the knock sensors back in. Why disable them?

    its a non electronic trans , was just loading from one that also had non electronic, can control it at all so figured that didnt matter?

    Man. Then why change it in the first place.

    If you swapped MAF's then that's what is going on with your throttle issue.
