Without more info (I assume you have an aftermarket cam), it sounds like you need to address EOIT. Here is some information to assist you on your journey. Watch these in this order:

Y'all are out of your mind if you think EOIT is going to cause or cure black smoke.
OP got more serious issues than that if it is indeed billowing black smoke.

Here is helpful suggestion you could have added easily,
"Tune the engine to run at an air fuel ratio between 14.8 and 15.5:1 to cure the black smoke.
Replace spark plugs if they are fouled to cure misfires due to carbon buildup once the air fuel ratio is fixed.
If you do not have a wideband you can tune near 14.7:1 by identifying the voltage switch point for narrowband sensors if that is all you have. Read up on how narrowband sensors work if you do not understand that yet it is crucial.
IF there are already misfires then it will be difficult to re-tune the engine properly so keep in mind you may need to change plugs and THEN tune the air fuel properly, quickly.
After all that is done adjust The EOIT as said previously to cure fuel smell at idle, cruise, and decel in overhead port injection applications with long duration cams"
It doesn't matter if the technical advisement is too advanced. It can help 99999 other users not just this one.
Because I don't feel the need to post a bunch of mumbo jumbo to help some guy who can't manage to post a data log or tune file.
I wasn't trying to make fun of anyone. To me it shows serious lack of knowledge to think EOIT is going to cause or cure black smoke. That's the last thing on the list.
My professional suggestion is don't do any tuning. Take it to someone with a brain. Chances are it's more than a tuning issue.
So no, I would not recommend any of that garbage you posted. That's not a helpful suggestion. That's falling into the trap that everything can be fixed by "tooning".

And your equally standard useless internet garbage post of going off on how to cure cancer when all this guy whom I guess English is his or her second language needs to be told is that the vehicle that he already thinks had someone put a CARTOON on it, and that is all that is needed, is for a qualified person to diagnose the vehicle in person and find and fix the exhaust leaks that are the leading cause of vehicles running rich.
As with most things in life, most problems are multifactorial. When solving these issues it is important to do them one at a time and start with the easiest one first. For something like this I think EOIT makes sense eliminate it from the possibilities.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a leaky injector or failed plug/wire/coil.

So when somebody comes to the HPtuners forum for help your advice is for them to take the car to a mechanic
Even if that is your advice, at least say it. Offer that advice. Everyone can give suggestions and help. That is the point of the forum.
The post above mine offers zero advice. Its just a gloating useless post with nothing. Its like saying "its wrong" but offers no help or suggestions. "I'm better than you and I know what the real problem is but I refuse to help or say what it is" That is what he is saying.
That's not at all what it's saying. It said all I meant it to say. I do not know what the problem is, but I know what it isn't. And I know from years upon years of experience EOIT is not the cause or the cure. Not for billowing black smoke.
To further elaborate on any tuning suggestions is moot. There's a high probability it isn't tune related.

It can be other tuners. It can be anybody at all that you think will make use of it. Some suggestions. For example somebody said take the car to a mechanic. I think that is still a meaningful suggestion. One of our purpose is to all provide different ideas, different backgrounds, different places. You are in a place to provide extremely helpful suggestions to people who may see these posts in the future. It isn't like you don't know what you are doing; its like you are holding back, or lazy, in a rush, or something else. I doubt it's EOIT as Ed suggested. Tuning EOIT helps get rid of the fuel smell on engines with camshafts that have positive overlap. Bellowing black smoke likely means something mechanical is off because I doubt even the most novice tuner could have the tune botched enough to cause that. AFR showing lean, but bellowing black smoke is likely a false lean condition cause by a vacuum leak or exhaust leak before the o2 sensors skewing sensor readings.

and its not worth guessing why this engine is rich. We need to see logs or something to appropriately diagnose
