    Dads Camaro Tune

Hey everyone ,I got an issue with my dads Camaro tune . I did the entire ls swap , rewired the car , trans etc so its basically a brand new car..Its a 73 Camaro z28 I had it tuned by a guy local to me who I thought was good but come to find out i felt like he missed stuff on this tune mainly the trans as it seemed to be left untouched. Fast forward Ive tried to reach out via call and text without reply so hes out . It ran ok on the way home but since i was the last on the dyno before closing , i couldn't go back thus the reason why Ive been calling to explain my issues. So my issues are first , it wants to die going up say an incline and i barley tap the throttle. I increased the airflow a bit but it has little effect in fixing that,it will really drop the idle and try to catch it self then sometimes stall. Second thing is the converter locks up early ,to early Id like it to lock up only 4th gear and at or above 60mph. I did change the gear ratio settings in the trans area as this helped a lot but not fully where id like it to be .Thirdly , it seems to loose some steam shifting into the next gear under WOT like its lacking something ..Tuner said it didn't want anymore timing so in the log i seen it at around 24 degrees on WOT . I didn't mess with anything else that the tuner did .Other then that it runs ok It made 330 wheel with this combo

    Car info

    LM7 milled heads .30 ,Headers , Cammed ( specs are comp #54-446-11 .595 .598 232 234 @.50 112 lsa), ls1 intake, Dbw ,2 1/2 exhaust

    Trans 4L60e circle d 3200 stall .

    Gear 3.73

nothing to crazy but if i can get some feedback here id be greatly appreciated guys , thank you in advance on this .. id like to get it pretty liveable on the street .

What tire size? Measure the tread-tread diameter.

Sirius , I loaded this tune went for a drive and logged it . I totally forgot to log the maf on this but ill say its been 100 times better, shifts are great , Tcc is pretty good to . power seems to have really picked up between shifts and stays in the Rpm range so much better .. Feels like a 5.3 with a cam now. But , it has a little issue still ... Under part / moderate throttle , it breaks up and sometimes pops through the exhaust , upper rpm is not an issue at all just idle and some acceleration at times . Still need to work on the stalling or wanting to. Its better but it still kinda does that when were going up an incline , and come up to a speed bump then tap the throttle over it .. Thank you for the revision .. its awesome now .. oh and it idles much much nicer

I'm glad it helped. Tune still needs attention. All I changed was a few trans settings and the injection timing. Looks like the airflow models and spark could use some work.

If you'd like I can help with the rest. First, supply the injector part number. It's molded onto the injector. That or tell me what year/make vehicle they're from.

After that I'll adjust the fueling tables if needed. Then what I'll need is you to do a log like the last one, but include these channels:
    - Throttle Position [Ratio] (%)
    - Cylinder Airmass [Mass] (g)
    - Spark Retard [Sensor] (Degrees)
    - Mass Airflow Sensor [Frequency] (Hz)
    - Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure [Pressure] (kPa)
    - Mass Airflow [Mass Flow Rate] (g/s)
    - Dynamic Airflow [Mass Flow Rate] (g/s)
    - Volumetric Efficiency Airflow [Mass Flow Rate] (g/s)
    - Equivalence Ratio Commanded [Mixture Ratio] (λ)

The injector is from an ls3 and their part number is 0280158051

Ok sweet for sure I?ll log these channels as well

Seems like it?s almost there like I said it?s running so much better all around

    Thank you

If you're good with it where it is that's fine. The changes I've made will mean the airflow and a few other things will have to be tuned from scratch. The injector data is a little off, for example. That means airflow will change by default. It'll be some work on your part.

Should you decide to go through the whole process here's the starting tune. Note that it will pop on decel because DFCO is disabled for the process.

So you mentioned it dies when you give it throttle, and you have tried adding airflow. The BRAF numbers actually look a little high. That and the fuel trims tell me that the airflow models weren't tuned as well as they could be.

That cam will run better in speed density.

Every single code, all of them, have the SES box unchecked. It would never turn a CEL on if you unplugged half of everything.
