    2007 Corvette tune opinions

Hi, at my brother`s shop there`s a 07 Corvette with a cammed LS2, Since I`m new to using HPTuners I took the chance to scan it.

The car stays in OL-Fault and the oxigen sensors remain at around 450mV no matter what. It idles ok and has been used for quite some time by the current and previous owner. He said the car has a small bog when you go full throttle, other than that he is happy.

Am I wrong in thinking there`s something wrong with the tune, even if the owner says the car is ok? I mean, closed loop is disabled in the tune, LTFT and O2 readiness test too. The guy that tuned it added a few degrees of timing and upped the idle tables by 100 rpm as far as I can see.

My question is, would you consider this an acceptable tune for a cammed and allegedly head ported LS2?

Sorry if it`s a dumb question, but from what I`ve been reading on tuning, this isn`t the way.

Lol, look at that PE table. It's basically choking itself in fuel. 14.68/1.400 = 10.4 commanded.

If that tells you anything I don't know what will, it obviously was tuned poorly.

The 450mv means there is a problem with that circuit. Unplugged sensor, dead sensor, wiring issue. Also they may have turned off LTFT and o2 readiness stuff but they left the post o2 sensor test and cat test active. Those two things you'd need older software to look at, so not something you'll be able to see.

It needs to be tuned again. Fueling is extremely fat per the PE table. So they obviously never used a wideband to tune it correctly.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Injector flow rate has been changed, but none of the other injector data. So either they changed injectors and didn't update all the tables, or they thought they could use IFR to add/remove fuel without having to do any real tuning.

Pretty much the same with the power enrichment - don't fix anything, just make it run good at WOT.

All of the O2 DTCs have had the 'SES Enable' box unchecked, so again, don't make it work right, just don't ever turn on the light for anything so no one will know we don't have the first clue what we're doing.

Closed loop is disabled via the ECT enable temps. However that won't make the O2s not report voltages in the scanner. CL disabled along with the DTC settings mean they probably removed all of the O2 sensors altogether.

That file just makes me angry and I'm not going to spend any more time looking at it. Sad thing is, people who do 'tunes' like this probably earn pretty good money.

Yep, I knew it, it really looks wrong, but since the guy who allegedly did this tune is considered an "expert" by many in my city, I wanted to make sure lol.

Thanks a lot! now I can safely tell the owner to get a better tune for it.

Pretty disappointing, we have the same thing in AUS, reputable tuners/workshops that just steal people's money

Fix the O2 sensor issues and put the "tune" back to stock. 450 mv (roughly) on your scanner indicates an open circuit. They're probably unplugged.

What everyone else said plus check the part number on the injectors so you can get the correct data. No need in touching ANYTHING until you have the right data for whatever injectors are installed.

This used to be called PE and IFR "rape" in the LS1edit early HPtuner days before anyone really knew what as going on. Its a very poor tune job. I wouldn't trust anything done in it moving forward.

Haven't seen a tune like that in a while. That's horrible
