05 silverado with a 5.3 running a 4l80 from a 00 6.5 diesel 2500. recently overhauled a bunch of stuff including swapping the diesel converter out for a higher stall out of a later model (06?) 6.0, now getting the limp mode "trans hot" issue. looking back thru logs i see two things, a) trans never once shows over 170 but also b) highway cruising for 15+ min which is when it typically kicks into limp mode never locks up. TCC mode sits in Apply En but only one time out of an hour drive did it actually show Apply (about 1:15 into the log) for about 5 seconds. Additionally logging TCC Slip as a ratio shows 0% all the time, no matter what, but logging as RPM copies the engine speed value, as in 3300rpm on the tach shows TCC Slip is 0% but also 3300rpm. As far as i can tell, when TCC engages slip should be <10rpm? All the TCC disable pids (brake, misfire, etc) show NO, but is there hidden values that can shut off TCC?

Any input here would be appreciated, even if someone was willing to provide their logs/tunes for a nice functioning 4l80 with a stock converter logging all the trans pids that would be really helpful, i dont have a baseline to measure against. Or much hair left to pull out.

sorry its a mess, I know ive got too many channels logged
