Is there any more risk writing tunes or files in with an MPVI1 vs the newer MPVI3? looking at buying an older mpvi1 to do some bench work with, but I do alot of newer vehicles, and dont wanna buy a multi thousand dollar ECU.

I have both, MPVI1 is limited and some thnigs require MPVI2 and some MPVI3. They will probably lock everything new to MPVI3 soon.

I must say MPVI1 is much more stable, I had MPVI2 going south few times.
