FWD TCM to control RWD 4L60E

I am collecting parts for my current project, and the route I prefer is to take say an 06 FWD 3900 and make some changes to it in order to use it as RWD. In order to get everything to bolt together I would need to use a 4L60E out of a 2000 vintage S10 that originally came on the 2.2 4 Cylinder. My question is if I can take the TCM that would come with the 06 3900 and program it to control the 2000 4L60E? Thanks, Roy

All T42 TCMs can run any T42 calibration, the hardware all interchanges across all years/platforms.

Whether you can find a TCM OS that'll work with a '00 transmission AND the ECM OS you'll end up with, that a different subject. (the 2000 S10 didn't use separate ECM/TCM - nothing back that far did)

If you want a FWD for RWD I would have picked something like a 2005 Monte Carlo. Has a 3.8 supercharged engine. Lots of mods possible and lots of support for HP Tuners.

90 degree V6s should all be rounded up and destroyed with extreme prejudice. They sound so bad. Like, unhealthy bad. Always remind me of Marvin the Paranoid Android: "I think you should know I'm feeling very depressed. <sigh>"
