    GPS speedometer signal adaptor....thoughts?

I pulled the pin on a GPS speedo signal adaptor that is capable of putting out a 4000ppm signal. I have a 4.8 swapped Jeep YJ that due of the angle of the speedo cable exiting from the side of the transfer case, a typical cable driven VSS will be a problem....the cable is going to hit the frame. Figured I'd try a GPS unit. So my question is, since it has no "teeth", I run a manual transmission and no gear ratio is involved, will I be ok with just putting "4000" in the Sensor Calibration -> VSS Pulses Per Mile field?

That should be correct as long as you have the correct diff gearing, tire diameter as measured with a tape measure and of course the correct trans that is installed.
