idle tuning with cam and factory converter

have a local guy with a g body cutlass with a 4.8 and sloppy stage 2 camshaft with a 4l80e with a stock converter in it and 2.41 gears that he wants me to fix the idle on that hes "going to turbo eventually", im thinking its never going to be great because of the super mismatched combo but if i could get it to at least not die at stoplights he would be happy, what would be the best way to go about this? or basically he just needs a converter and gears?

It doesn't have to have a converter, you can make it work.

The biggest thing is getting the fueling correct and timing. Set the idle to like 750-800rpm, adjust the idle timing to around 20ish degrees and make the over/underspeed spark correction not as aggressive, like 8-10 degrees max +/-.

Add a little base running airflow and get the MAF/VE tuning right, it should idle good and not die stoplights just doing that.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Yea thats a terrible setup but it's not too bad to get it to idle good in gear.
Atleast the stock 4l80 converter is a tad loose.
