    Platform Type wrong

I have a 99' Corvette and when I read the PCM and view the tune in VCM Editor it shows the platform type as GMT530. My understanding is the corvette is a Y body, not a GMC Truck. VCM Editor gives me the option to change the platform type to Y Body and several others. My question is why would the PCM be set for GMT530? Is it possible the previous owner of the vehicle had changed this value? What is the risk of changing this to Y Body? Is there any value in changing it to Y Body, or should I just leave this value alone?

    Thank you.

We've noticed this too. But we also don't think it's always been this way. - we've been doing it since HPtuners was a DB9 serial cable.

We've seen PCM's right from getting a SPS reflash from GM show this.

Anyway.. no harm no foul.. just ignore it and keep rocking.
