Another VIN swap question - yes I searched before I posted

So I live in Harris County Texas and they do smog checks during inspection. Not sure if the VIN mismatch between the ECU and the metal tag on the dash will fail the smog check or not but here's the question. We bought a rolling chasis car and dropped in an LS1 with its ECU from a wrecked identical 02 camaro.

I have already licensed and started tuning the ECU that came with the LS1 with HPTuners. If I go in now and change the VIN in the ecu to match the VIN of the car will this create a need to re-license or purchase more credits for the same ecu?

Of course I think that sux if it does because I will essentially be paying additional credits to just change the vin.

    What Say you?

Yes, you'll need to purchase more credits and yes it hurts.
Theres ways to change the VIN without HP Tuners, but then you wouldn't be able to use hp tuners to tune the car anymore.

Best case scenario is to worry AFTER/IF they fail you for the vin mismatch
