Voodoo control pack question

Hey guys long time poster on here but haven?t logged on in years and had to start a new account. Anyway I?m planning a voodoo swap into a 66 mustang and am wondering about the control pack. If I use a genII ford control pack is it as simple as deleting the base tune file and uploading a gt350 engine tune? I?ve heard about a lot of people having issues with controlling the voodoo so I?m wondering why this wouldn?t work?

Firing order is different, so at a minimum your going to need to modify the tune and re-pin the harness. It would be the same theory as running a gen 2 control pack on a gen 2 truck engine. You will have to do a tune comparison and decide what moves over and what doesn't. You can't rewrite the control pack like you are talking about, they don't have the same parameters.
