they show you how to do it in the gm trans booklet over at the tuning school
https://thetuningschool.com/apps/bundles/bundle/29391
just because you zero out the tcc slip tables doesn't mean its still not slipping. you really need to do a scan while driving of the appropriate pids to really get the tcc dialed in
i'm willing to send someone $$$ if you can show me how and where, I can adjust the tps% to Gear kickdown points
the tuningschool.com will explain it.
the problem wit this forum is it's based on business of its members, no here is your friend . you want information and help. $$$$$$$ show the money
have...
5-6th is a good time to lock it up, i added 40 psi more to the tcc over stock pressure, and I don't see any slip on the graphs, its got that nice chugging feeling when loaping down the road at 80mph
what are your opinions on regulator gain and regulator offset??? i haven't heard much info on these? i set my gain to 1 but not sure about the reg offset.
here's my log the otherday on 1-2, 2-3 wot shift , looking for any ideas on what I can improve on this trans tune...
it does have a bit of a cluncky shift at times, i believe its the torque ramp is...
the 6l80's stock tune has 44 psi to the converter and lots of clutch slippage programmed into it... zero the tcc parameters, activate it only in 4-6th, and bump tcc line pressure another 40-60 psi
...
I would try using the tech2 software with a VCX NANO from amazon... you can do a lot of functions with this that the hptuners module cannot
goatrope garage has a detailed video on accessing BCM,...
what temp did you activate the function? is it a really tight temp window or is 170-195 ok, i got smart and took a needle nose vice grip and pinched the rubber hose section in the cooler line and...
order trans booklet from tuning school, not many people are gonna help you on this forum
on my 6l80 2016 model, I cant get the trans reset to work. tried everything on HPtuners it's non-functional , might have to visit a GM dealer to do this.
the tuning school has a booklet on the 6l80/90 and a specific section on how to tune the circle D tripple disk. buy the booklet and follow the pids, plus you get 1 year over the phone help..
i...
have you tried adding 40-60psi to the tcc and zero all tcc, set tcc gain to 1???
where is the "cal switch" on k2 silverado?
it was in the data log file
i tried it again today, put vice grips on the trans cooler hose, got up to 186F, it entered the function mode for a couple minutes then aborted. I'm guessing the special functions are...
i noticed your line pressure is about 30-45 psi, increase the tcc pressure to about 60-70 psi
little update on fast learn, you might have to use a snap on tool or autel scan tool unit, HPtuners doesnt always work even at the correct temp, when doing special functions
do a ((re-learn proceedure)), i find the 6l80 tends to forget the tune I program into it, gets all soft after its adjusted a couple weeks later.... you'll have to block the cooler line just to warm...
there is still good info in the booklet that would make it worth the money, the $180 also includes tech support and help with questions you might have. that alone is worth more than a canned trans...
i'm guessing that the higher the gain number, the faster the ramp in time
i highly recommend purchasing the 6l80/8l90 tuning book from the tuning school for $180. at least you'll get an...
tcc pids for monitoring adjustments
i'll try and find the video walk thru on setting it up
try this out... this is on a stock 2016 5.3 silverado, runs amaizingly well for 80k miles
