So while scanning today, it all started coming back to me, how to tune the MAF.......The problem still, why is the MAF so far off, today it registered upwards of 15% off. It was perfect a year...
Thats the plan, put the VE table back to stock check things out and perform a
MAF tune if needed.
I wasent scanning anything useful!!!! Hey, please educate me! Yeah, some of the scan info was...
I guess that is the whole point......the MAF was tuned almost perfectly, off no more than 2 points and now its different.
I have the LTFT + STFT, PID on one computer but cant get it to work on...
I have about 5k on the latest tune. 20K total on the car.
VE needs work......Hmmm I dont know what I changed but can put it back to stock.
MAF needs tuning thats what I thought too. My question...
I guess what I was trying to say was that this scan is no where near as good as in the past.....
So here is the tune...
I have been running this tune for about a year now and "things" have changed. Not sure why, it was about as perfect as I could get it at the time. The drive was not to smooth but this should be...
Got it thanks. Never logged in until now, one is in the mail!
I think your right, order a new cable.
The cable uses aluminum foil for shielding along with a drain wire, and both connectors are molded in place, not easy to fix.
How do I order a new cable...
The computer is not the problem HPT has worked fine for ~ a year now, until the short.
Looks like it could be a bad interface cable (car/box). I say this because the car connector has 12v but no...
I wish it was that easy its a kit car with an L-67 and after market harness. I will try following the wires and see if I can find a fuse.
Any idea which pin is 12v?
Had a strange issue where the.......brain box(?) that plugs into the car computer had a short internally(?) and it was fixed for free!! Very nice!
Well I finally decided to hook it up and guess...
Tune sent, car not picture worthy just yet............Many bugs to be worked out but am down to the short list. Hope to paint soon!
Sounds like your building a Super Stalker. If this is correct I can send you my latest tune and you can go form there. Should get you pretty close.
What is your AFR in those cells which have KR?
Have you done a MAF tune?
Pulls on the Dyno with no KR........Your not using the front suspension when on the Dyno might want to give it a real good once over, at least that's cheap and easy to do!
You could adjust your MAF curve so that at freeway speed/load your running 15.5:1 AFR. This AFR should give you max MPG although your engine will run warmer and test your cooling system a little.
Does your P.E start before boost?
For the really big HP you need to be over in the GM section.:p
Disclaimer: I am no expert and maybe one can chime in and let me know if I am full of it......
Here is what I am doing for fine tuning the AFR.
The MAF is not perfect and at certain air flows...
What is you AFR under boost?
Make sure your your power enrichment is kicking in before boost.
How about a HP Tuners club?
I know I would sure like to get together with others in San Diego. Anyone from SD on line?
I would think your AFR is just as important as your spark. So what is your AFR when its that cold?
Same day over a 7hr period.
Fuel from the same pump all day.
Temp was ~65F all day overcast.
I plan to play with the timing until I see repeatable KR and compare it to where I am now.
I had my car at the track (road course) a few weeks back and had up to 1.5 degrees of KR and the rest of it was under 1 degree. The 1.5 was on one session with a cell count of 1. The tune stayed the...
This is excellent, thanks for the link!
So far I have my AFR at 11.7 at WOT which is on the lean side for a boosted engine and the timing appears to be optimized for that AFR, so, to play it safe,...
