I've heard about the compressor wheels, but never heard about the pistons.
I've heard lots of rumors, but does anyone know if there are any actual hard parts different between the standard and HO on the second generation?
Agreed, I did reach out to them, haven't heard back on an official volume yet. But I will for sure back down what I had it set at.
Correct I did, I figured I'd rather be in control than it try and test the limit.
I just went and looked on their website again and they list that it's 83% bigger than stock, that spec wasn't there when I bought it.
Garrett 870702-6001
Thanks, much appreciated, I'll give it a go.
And on the charge cooler, the new one is well over double the thickness and end tanks are larger too, so I just roughly doubled the factory size...
Didn't even see that one, thanks for pointing it out!
Hi everyone,
What I've got is a 2018 F150 with a 3.5L. This is my personal truck, I'm actually a GM guy but decided to try a change and I bought this new. I've since started with playing with it,...
You'll need to program a factory calibration file in it first. You'll either have to take it to a GM dealership, (most likely installed in the car) or if you know someone or an independent shop with...
The anti theft system and factory alarm are not related and both controlled by the BCM. By disabling the VATS in the tune will allow the PCM let the engine run without the fuel enable signal present...
Correct, the only reason there is a vent solenoid is checking the EVAP system for leaks. To my knowledge there is no way to change purge parameters in HPT. Purge is for emissions only, not needed, is...
I converted a buddys 2000 grand prix se we did a top swap on and hes been running it for 2 years now on e85 and the stock pump
I guess to me they aren't worth the money, seems to be many other things to buy that give a much better bang for the buck! But to people who money is no object then sure why not. From what I have...
Last night i was trying to command gears with the scanner output controls, and no matter what gear i would command, the transmission would be put in 1st gear?! Anybody seen or had this trouble before?
Are you transplanting an engine into something else? Or just want to remove it from your car? On older cars the BCMs dont do even half of what they do on cars today... So it depends what year and...
I wouldn't think there would be any loss by disabling evap, (other than more hydrocarbons in the atmosphere) but there are many other things that pollute worse! Its main purpose is to burn fuel tank...
I would check the gear ratios from each flash file, i bet they're not the same...
What vehicle is it? Trying to just disable it just because or having problems with it?
No prob!
Transmission Adaptive Pressure, pcm adjusts line pressures to try and make shift times as close to desired shift times as possible, very similar to fuel trims.
Apparently not, i wasn't able to either on a 2000 grand prix, from what i've noticed with scan tools even is most dont have TAPS reset in there special functions menu, only the Tech 2 is all i have...
With those mods you should easily be able to run a 3.6 with no KR, and usually a 3.4 with none also. Sounds like the car is going way lean.... Do you have a wideband? IPW is what the pcm is...
Your maf line caught my eye, not smooth at all, jumps all over the place....
