So, according to GPS, 26715 ppm is the right VSS setting. As far as the FD ratio, I changed it to 4.05, and there seem to be no ill effects. The HHR SS GMPP tune has 1:1 in it, but the VSS is set...

Tom do you have an HHR file you can send me?
Interwebz has failed me.
Which number is which? If they're not talking about actual gear ratios, I don't know if the first or second number represents the stock value.
Thanks for the info. Still a little confused about the ratio though. I would think it would be either .94:1 or 1.06:1. Stock HHR SS has 1.03 and lower PPM? Totally confused on that. I would have...
Also, if someone else has access to an HHR tune, would you see how many VSS pulses per mile it is set to?
I assume that by going from 3.82 -> 4.05 that I should change the FD ratio from 1:1 to .94:1. Is this right, or did I get it backwards?
The help file wasn't very helpful for this. I wasn't...
Check for codes. Betting there is a boost leak if you see boost hit 5psi, hang for a sec, and then go up. Or you have poorly wired/dirty (T)MAP sensors.
Sorry, I failed reading comprehension, I guess.
LNF has a wideband in the O2 housing, and a narrow band in the downpipe, after the cats.
It seems that I'm in the minority on this board. I love all the instrumentation that this car provides...
I think it's time for a leakdown and compression test. At least it's easy to do on this motor.
Not the same lap, but it's the same turn. Proof that it's over 1g of lateral load, plus WOT.
I was wondering why I heard some compressor surge on WOT while on track. It's because load is tremendously high in load speed turns, and boost is going way higher than intended. My turbo is...
Thanks for sharing, John.
I threw in the towel. It must be different on the 09 ECUs. Mine would never go ready for cat state. Went back to stock DP and a tune with P0420 enabled to get it past emissions.
Which codes did you set to 0? I think mine is only disabling P0420. Maybe the P013* codes. I don't recall off the top of my head now. Not on a computer w/ HPT.
I've been out of town, so I haven't been able to drive it to set it, which sucks, because my registration just expired.
I dunno why some of you guys don't believe me. I'll post a SS after it sets. Pick option 0 - Disable. It set every OBD2 readiness monitor to Ready state.
It's set to disable, option 0. It set O2 readiness on the car I tuned, despite the fact that I disabled it, which surprised me, but also made me quite happy. Saves me from having to swap the stock...
I checked another car I tuned around here, and it does go ready eventually, so I guess it's back to driving. Thanks folks.
Gonna another local LNF that I tuned to see what his readiness states are. If his set, I'll just keep trying to do the damn readiness procedure.
Sorry, I'm used to everyone talking LNF on this forum. I forget there are other engine types on this subforum.

Okay, so I have a high flow cat, which has no angled bung, and it throws P0420. No problem, disable right? Well, 2 years later, it is time for emissions, and since I have it disabled, apparently...
I trimmed about a 1/4 away in a small area and tweaked the shield a bit. It's pretty much all gone now. Back to normal! Just used some left and right tin snips and a file, and painted after. I...
Ugh. I know it shouldn't worry me, but it doesn't give me a warm fuzzy. I probably wouldn't worry about it if it was a ball bearing CHRA, but under decel, the oil pressure is dropping, so I worry...
