Understood. Thanks for your feedback.
I measured the street tire with the normal air pressure that I run (35psi). The measurement to the center of the wheel from the ground was 14-1/8". Doubling this gives 28.25" which is ~3/4" off from...
Got you. Thanks.
How much of a difference does it make if the diameter of the tire is say, ?? to 1? difference? Will it affect the shifting?
After digging some more, I found the Gear/Tire wizard in HP tuners. It is indicating that the current tire diameter is 27.54, but when I looked up the stock tire diameter, it was actually 28.4. How...
Yes. The transmission has torque limiting still active. I want to keep that safety active, but I only want it to pull the torque back right before it shifts like in the other gears.
I held the button for 8 seconds. I did not see any traction control pulling timing. It is just the transmission requesting the torque to be pulled back.
Trial and error works well. I am a data guy, so I always look for that first...
I will add the channels for the next log. I am in Thibodaux, by the way. Small world.
Thank you for the explanation. It makes sense that with the tire change, the MPH at a certain RPM would be off now and could confuse the computer. Do you use any specific program to calculate the MPH...
I only have logs with the same parameters as the one above. I guess I am trying to understand how the tables work. What actually tells the transmission to shift? Looking at the scan, the 2-3 and 3-4...
Thank you for the feedback.
I am fine with running a special tune with the track tires, but I don't understand the relationship between the full throttle shift speed and the full throttle shift...
Another note to add is that i had drag radials on at the time and they are slightly smaller than the stock tires. It looks like the MPH when it finally shifts into second gear is 40 instead of 31 as...
I took the car to the 1/4 mile test and tune night and found the car stumbled right off of the launch. It recovered quickly, but it is annoying. The quickest ET I ran was 11.023 (just shy of my 10.99...
I pulled about 1 degree in my high-octane table at the upper air mass level and a half a degree out of my PE table. The knock retard went away.
I will lower the timing and test again. Thanks again for your help.
Two other logs with the same tune. These do not indicate the same knock retard.
Is it real knock?
Thanks for the feedback. That table is already zeroed.
I am trying to figure out why I have some knock retard in this run. At the beginning of the log, there is ~5* of KR, but at the end of the log, where there is a similar run, there is none. There were...
