Very true but E has other benefits.
My c6Z is at 12.5:1
2007 Z06
Issues:
1. When I let off the gas coasting or at a stop it almost always falls to commanded idle rpm and then flares a few hundred RPM before stabilizing.
2. If I'm in gear and bump...
Totally depends on the setup. I went to E85 on my Z06. I added 5deg of timing up top timing, but on the dyno I can go up and down like 5 degrees from there across the board and power doesn't even...
This was a super helpful post. I like the idea of creating a histogram logging RPM error. I gave it a try, but I found that the logged RPM errors were way more significant than the change you need...
Can't say I follow your train of thought in regards to the ECT multiplier. It's no like I'm OK at one ECT temp and not another. Also, most reasonable operating temp cells have a multiplier of 1. ...
My car sometimes surges for 30+ seconds after a hot start and then idles fine. Would these changes help that issue or is this just to get the car started? Are you guys saying you literally can't...
2007 Z06
When I'm coasting down with clutch not depressed the RPMs go to idle or a touch below and almost always flares up to 1300 RPM or so before returning to idle. Wondering how I can get rid...
Interesting thread and concepts. Thanks for taking the time to share. Even though my HCIE 2007 Z06 idles quite well this made me revisit all my idle tuning from scratch since I did it all before I...
Yup
Went to the track today and was using the cable to log and found TPS only going to about 39% at WOT. Did some testing and found that when I use my laptop to log I see 99.6% like I should. Why the...
So you're saying if you have a multipler of 1 in the last two cells the multiplier gets multiplied by 50% and 80% respectively? I have 1 in the last two cells and it's adding all the timing in my...
wow this operating system upgrade is more of a pain that I thought. MAF high table axis is different and you can't edit it so I had to interpolate (lose resolution too...). Then I get to the VE...
Unless there is some downside I'm not aware of, the 2 bar OS sounds like the best option for me. I'll give it a try.
I was told to switch to the 2 bar operating system, which has a limit of 1,024 g/s. That should work, right?
After testing today I did find that the mult table controls flex spark just fine so I don't know why Dave said that.
What's the best approach to fixing this issue? I know I can scale IFR and every airflow and airmass table, but that sounds like a pain in the rear and seems kind of rigged. Is there is custom...
Did u figure this out? Everything I'm reading says that multiplier table IS for flex spark. Seems that's what most people are using.
I had the same question as the op. I changed the spark and knock tables to use MAF cylinder airmass (8cyl) like you said and also updated the axes to match the editor and it worked like a charm. ...
That's a lot of good info! So when people import ID data do they leave the flow rate mult vs flow, min injector pulse, and offset vs. inj temp tables stock. Seems strange that one car would have...
Kind of unrelated, but shouldn't you have changed your injector short pulse limit to 3.7 ms per the ID injector data?
I was comparing your injector settings to mine as I have the same injectors...
Ok I figured out some of the differences. Accelerate one is percentage of the pedal and throttle position is percentage of the blade. I guess my only real question now is why do these two only go...
I used to use ETC pedal position, which would go to 100% at WOT. What is the equivalent PID in the 3.4 scanner? "Throttle Position" seems to be close but is only going to 99.6% at WOT. Some other...
Might want to check your math. I think it should be 5.333, not 5.291.
1/((1.37-0.62)/(4.5-0.5))
Yup this is what I do and it works amazing. I had to go higher than 6000 rpm though so I could launch higher than that off the line. Mine neutral rpm is only like 200 below normal limit.
Guess I should have searched first lol. Found some of my answers here. I'm guessing the E40 tables are a little diff than E38 though. I surprised I've never heard of people using these on C6Zs...
