I've always used coils that were a match to the pcm's and have had no issues. I'm tuning on a 2001 SS Camaro, stock pcm that has the later LS3 coils. I'm having some odd misfiring issues. I've...
Trying to wrap my head around this. So the injector is injecting fuel before the intake valve opens, and during overlap, some of this fuel is going out the exhaust?
I've added an aftermarket cam to my 08 Vette. Its a BTR stage 3 229 intake duration, 113 lobe separation with 10* overlap. Before the cam swap I never smelled the cats, now I can. The O2's are...
I changed the cylinder volume like you suggested and retuned the VE table.
So, I can expect the ecm to reference the exact same areas on the Timing tables in SD as it would with the maf connected?...
I may have found the problem. I didn't address the IAT timing table. Im still wondering if the pcm calculates load differently or less accurately without the maf.
My calculated load doesn't seem correct. Im not really looking at load in ft/lbs but at the main timing table in the scanner. I'm in SD mode. I do not have the 1 bar OS upgrade installed as I plan to...
Ill check timing at idle. Its low and the idle and main spark tables are matched up. Ive been up and down on the timing with no improvement.
I'll post a tune when I get back to that laptop.
I'm...
Is there no way to get an accurate lambda at idle with Lt's and a cam. Car in question is a 01 TA with a 408 with L92's and a small 226 int dur cam on 117 lobe sep. Car lopes around a lot at stoich...
DAM! I have a lot more things to mess up now. Thanks guys!
So are there any limits to adjusting these switch points?
Hmm. Ill give that a try when I get home.
The latest beta. I had to get an upgrade a couple months ago to be able to tune a G8GT.
On the left side of that tab I have:
Open Loop
EQ Ratio.
STFT open Loop enable/disable.
Nothing else below that.
I have seen what you are referring to in a screen capture on this forum...
All I see is O2 rich/lean vs airflow- Bank 1 and Bank 2. Click on on of those and I have O2 sensor B1 R/L vs Airflow Mode plotted in rich/lean O2 sensor voltages.
I see that but what is defined as...
Here is one of the tunes. Not the latest but the only one I have on this laptop. My dumbass cant find the airflow mode table.
So airflow mode isnt a table in the editor I thought I was overlooking, it would be a histogram in the scanner I have to set up. Well you wouldnt happen to have a "How to for dummys" on how to do...
It actually is in open loop at idle then closed loop above 1200 rpm. I just would prefer it to be in closed loop. When the wide band is reading at stoich, the NB O2 sensor voltages are around 800mv....
Oh it does fine till I go closed loop. I almost wish I would have gone with manifolds instead of headers this time around.
Hello everyone! I havent posted in a while but I have a question. I have an 02 Z28 with an LS3 in it now and I have idle fueling nailed down where I like it and right at stoich with a wideband in...
Thats what I was afraid you would say. My maf works fine. I guess Im just too lazy to tune the ve and maf one at a time for the idle areas. I did that for part throttle just didnt spend much time on...
Thats what I was thinking. Im about ready to ditch this maf and go sd. Any cons to doing that on a car thats hardly ever taken to the track? Also why is it when I fail the maf in the tune and unplug...
OK here it is. I didnt save the scans today. I will tomorrow.
Tryin to post a tune from my other laptop and my dumbass cant figure it out yet. Any pointers. I have it on a disc now.
Im sorry. I made an error in the last post. It idles better in open loop not closed loop. And yes its a cable tb.
Yeah makes sense but I seems like it would have to reference something.
What Im dealing with is a cammed car, an 02 Z28 that idles better in open loop for idle. I would like to keep it in open...
