If you have a wet kit, your nitrous and fuel jets will be different sizes (bigger jets on the fuel side, I forget if the nitrous jet got bigger or smaller) vs gasoline.
I'm still kinda new to this so sorry if its a stupid question, you will NOT be able to just put E85 in and start driving it around will you as the car will need tweaks to the tune/timing still right?
ok so just making sure... at this time I CAN'T just use the flex fuel enable, and then go put E85 in my tank because there are still spark/timing settings that need to be gone through right?
come onnnnnnnn springtime with the summer blends lol
That's what I was hoping to hear.. I thought I read that the mustangs factory cats wont last long while running the corn, any truth to this? I wonder how/if the cats on the flex fuel f150 are...
AWESOME!! Will HPT be able to do everything alone or will a SCT X4 be needed as well? Any chance that we would just have to add the corn to the tank or gasoline and the PCM just make the changes by...
right.. lol :D
Ya I knew that both a SCT and HPT would be needed to do this.. I use the term "switch" very loosely, only because that's what I have heard it called on these boards.
Shouldn't you be tuning some cars or something? lol
It has been known that we wanted it/requested it but since no one else had that option then we all just left it alone and figured it would just get done at some point (and probably by Eric first)...
exactly.. I bought HPT so that I could tinker/tune my own car instead of paying these places their outrageous prices for tunes or a change every time I mod my car and I haven't been able to even...
from lund for the 2015 Mustang GT's with stock injectors and stock intake manifold. 11-14 will need 47's ...BLAH. I DONT want a lund tune at all.
And then I guess Livernois has this type of...
My 2015 GT was doing this with my SCT tunes, Lund and a couple other tuners couldn't figure it out, I switch to HP because of this issue. Had Unleashed write my tune for me and the hanging rev...
I don't know how to tune or play around with HP tuners yet. But when I get to that point I was wanting to be able to go into the tune, and be able to easily switch everything over to run the corn...
Right and I would but those tunes are $100+ each and I bought this software so that I wouldn't have to pay tuners anymore, I could just start doing it on my own.
And here I thought I bought this more expensive than SCT CRAP so that I could get away from SCT and never have to mess with again, now I find this out..
So you have to use a X4 to enable it and then HPT to modify the parameters?
So is the flex fuel switch available in a revision or something now? Last I understood, Eric hadn't found the "switch" but knew it existed? I am VERY green to doing my own tuning and HP tuners so I...
Ya I know..I just wish he would get out of bed one morning with this being the FIRST thing on his mind, and then BOOM its done! lol
Anyone come across this yet by chance?
Someone has already given up on this CAI and posted it up for sale for $400. I want it but damn I'm leary since the problems arose with it.
I just asked about that CAI and tuning it with HP Tuners on Mustang6g forums. I currently just have a Airaid CAI tube and a K&N drop in.. was holding off on getting this PMAS CAI until the MAF issues...
Eric, I'm the guy that shot you an email and asked you lol.. I thought I would just post here and see if anyone has found it etc.
Steven
Has anyone found or come across any flex fuel option on the 2015 Mustang GT PCM in VCM? I've heard it was the same PCM as the F150's (well the 11-14 mustangs anyways), and I know some of the F150's...
