I dont see how this is logical... the AFR error IS the difference between commanded and actual.... its a calculated data point from those 2 numbers.

Transfer over the spark and PE settings, and you should be fine. Leave all of the sensors you have alone (aka run the 1bar, and whatever maf you have). You can probably steal a GTP injector...
I recently bought a HPT pro, and while I have been able to use it to scan, reading cars has been nearly impossible, and the last 2 months I have not been able to get it to even connect to the laptop...
Stock offsets work fine.
I would just multiply out your stock flow tables... I think HPT reads back in LB, so you can just put in 64.3 for the injector size.
As far as PE goes... Lower your PE...
I have never had stock VE give me many problems other than a funny idle at times.
Did some scans...
Timing was a slow steady march from 25 ish to 29 at 6300 rpms. 1KR popped up here and there.
Fuel trims were leaning a bit rich, +4-5 most the time. Its cold out this way...
I tried unplugging the fuse for my radio, I am still getting a HPT error of "invalid security" when trying to read the file off the pcm..... which lends to a broken HPT or a "tuner locked" pcm.
I...
Running lean cruise helps a bunch.
in raw, its g/sec I am not sure if HPT converts.
The VE table does NOTHING with the maf plugged in and functioning. You could zero out the VE table and have no change in fuel trims.
It is impossible to put a 2bar map on without custom OS...
If you have a turbo, you have to run a maf, which means you will never use VE tune stuff anyway.
So, you have been doing all of this tuning with a unplugged maf sensor, and a working IAT sensor?
Can you post some logs?
If I remember right (this is drawing on 2+ year old memories here), the PCM adds or subtracts 1 LTFT per 10 degrees off of like 35C. Obviously the hotter the more subtracts, the colder the more it...
Eh, we have open loop tuning tables, and IFR tables... what else do you want?
Although I do remember that HPT might not have the open loop air mass table.... Either way it is not that critical of...
The "maf sensor on 1" idea would never ever work..
The IAT sensor is required, and would need to go somewhere... I wouldn't get too carried away with its placement. You just need to get a good...
The issue with o2 sensors in a VE only tune would be a strange one..
Like I said, there would be some interesting things going on across the board, and it would be a very bad idea to use LTFT to...
In theory, you could run o2 sensors in VE mode, it should work ok.
Obviously enough, the maf overrides the map sensor stuff, so trying to tune VE with the maf in is impossible.
When in "ve mode", you are going to be using a whole different setup of stuff, and...
Boy do I feel sorry for this thread.
VE in 3800 cars is useless (there are some PCMs where it is "technically" not useless, but in practice it is). If you are modding it from stock, you are doing...
Anyone ever tuned one of these maf enabled 4200's for boost? Do any of the HPT guru's see any obvious issues for doing maf tuning under boost? I have seen issues where the map gets mad when it...
I can tell ya right now, the only reason I would buy a camaro would be to get one of these v6 cars and put a giant turbo setup on it.
I know the motors are ready for some extra power, and by the...
Well, more so why does this table exist in the first place? My guess is that the TRQ management sections were designed by a different team per say than the engine management team, and to prevent...
Ah, the zzp LQ4 table. I forgot to look at that one because I deleted it shortly after I downloaded it due to it being wacked out.
Just tune that one via trims or a wideband and you should be ok....
I would try a few recal's before changing the sensor, it will usually throw an error code if your sensor goes bad.
Even if it was 20 degrees higher, it doesnt mean that somewhere on the TRQ mangement end it pulls 30 degrees out off the top.
Books > you obviously... If you want to know something there is a...
