Hey guys. I have a 1999 Grand Prix GT with a L67 supercharged top end. I am about to beginning tuning it, and I've heard I should start with an L67 bin file. How do I do this? Won't HP Tuners detect...
I made all the changes you suggested. My Max Torque Timing vs. RPM vs. Cyl Air table is a stock GTP table. I haven't changed it.
Another note on this issue... I started it up yesterday (cold...
Here's a scan of it hesitating. I REALLY need expert help here.
I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with an SS M90 kit, VS cam, CAI and headers.
1. When accelerating on cold starts, my car often falls on it's face. The timing will drop to around 10, and I get...
I have a .HPT file (my current tune), but I want to edit some warmup spark tables in Tiny Tuner. I have the bin for my OSID, but if I try open the file in HP Tuners, it wants me to use 2 more...
I will give that a try. Thanks man!
It runs perfect in open loop during startup, but as soon as it goes into closed loop, it runs like crap for 2 minutes or so. After it's warm, it is completely fine. I don't know what to do. I also...
Hey guys. I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, with a SS M90 kit (top swap), as well as a VS cam, headers, cold air intake and 2.5" cat-back. I've been trying to get it tuned up, but I'm still having...
Had the exact same problem today actually. It ended up being a misfiring spark plug.
I'm trying to diagnose what I think is a bent or a set of bent valves. Can someone help me interpret this scan?
#1 - RPM = 720 - 91%
TPS = 0.1 - 65%
#2 - RPM = 927 - 117%
TPS =...
I'm still struggling with this issue. I can't find the correct formula to use. Ughhhhh.
You can disable DTC's, yes. I have 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, and I don't run a rear O2 (wideband instead) and my car doesn't run rich.
I'm curious to see the answer for this as well.
It's zero while you're driving, or at idle? Or both? You may have some transmission issues if it's zero while driving. Could be a problem with the speed sensor, or possibly a bad reluctor wheel.
This is in HP Tuners though, not Tiny Tuner. Should be the same.
I'm not sure how your car would function with a LeSabre PCM. The security settings/electronics would be different (I'd assume). I would get a Grand Prix PCM and tune it to the transmission settings...
Mine is the same way, but even higher. Check out my file.
He's right. I think the pressure control solenoid and a few other valve body components were changed.
Have you tried using the transmission settings from an 2003 transmission? The 4T65E transmissions are not all interchangeable. Almost every year, there are a few small differences.
Thanks guys. I put all the startup tables to stock GTP settings, and it fired right up. It wasn't extremely cold this morning, so we'll have to see what it does at -15 and below.
The problem is I don't really have a "stock" tune. My car was originally naturally aspirated, and I supercharged it. I had a canned tune from a vender, and it never once had any cold start problems....
After finally getting my tune decently dialed in, I am having problems with cold starts (as cold as -20* C). My car used to fire right up in the winter, but now it won't start on the first attempt....
It's got a minimum of 10 AFR. That's why it's +10. I'll try the volts/.5+9.3.
I'll double check tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure.
I tried the [pid.2811]/.5+10 formula. Not even close. My EGR is deleted.
