Just an update... 4 or so days into this thing. Still can't get the VIN changed. Took it to 2 different performance shops and neither could change the VIN.
So with the spare PCM in the car, I can flash it... but it still reads the VIN original to that PCM.
Can't change the vin because it says it's not licensed.
The car won't start.
So after 48...
In the middle of trying to figure this all out. I read the stock PCM and licensed it. Then I installed the spare PCM and did a full right to it after licensing that as well.

I get that DI is a different animal than port injection... however, running so lean still creates wildly high EGT's.
On a boosted car running 20+psi I wouldn't go a touch over 12.5 AFR on 93 octane,...
I'd be very hesitant to run a 13.0 AFR on a boosted car.

Can you do a full write to a donor PCM for these cars without issue?
So if the dealer sees that the flash count is higher than they have on record, warranty is automatically void?
I've always heard rumors. Whether the dealer can detect a tune or not (if said detection voids your warranty). If you can use a spare PCM or if you can't.

The throttle body closes for boost?
That doesn't really make any sense to me.
I do know that some cars with drive by wire have tq management in the form of closing the throttle body.
