Without a log I can't really help but there is not a whole lot on the control side of things that could give you a harsh 3-4. Is this a rebuilt transmission or a used one? If rebuilt, any idea what...
OK so aside from having only stock pressure your transmsision, it is capable of doing what it needs to do. Don't mess with the solenoid calibration screw, that's a big mistake many people make, not...
A transducer would be awesome of course since we could look at the log and see if the pressure matches the pressure control solenoid command, but it is not a must. All I really need to know is that...
If that was for me, it is a log I need to be able to help, not the tune.
You did not record any of the transmission parameters aside from the current gear and PRNDL so there is no way for us to know if it is working correctly or not.
I can't help with any tuning issues, but if you post a log with the transmission parameters recorded and let me know what your line pressure is I should be able to tell you why the transmission keeps...
This is very difficult to follow. Post a log with all the transmsision parameters recorded of it going in lock-up and then unlocking and I might be able to help.
Oh I did not realized you were not the OP! Now I see what you mean. I have no idea why the polling is so slow in yours, I would open a support ticket if it was me or start a new post of your own with...
Can you take a screenshot of the "spiky straight lines" you are talking about, and attach it here, so that I can see and understand better what you mean. On my end looking at your log, the PIDs you...
Yea Sean Boyle does a great job as usual explaining each phases of the shift and it was quite interesting to follow along as he was doing all the testing. I will let others that know about tuning...
The command for PCS 2 needs to change so that the 3-5 clutch it controls does not start to apply so quickly. It is applying during the fill phase of the shift (see attached graphs showing the 4...
There is a way to go around the problem that removing the wave causes, I just don't know how it is done in the tuning, that's not my strong point. No need to raise pressure on those they already...
I don't know enough about tuning to know how to go around the problem that way. But removing wave plates, adding frictions or reducing clutch pack clearances always cause headaches on those. Not to...
Amen
You did not log all the transmission PIDs so it is really hard to figure out what is going on with certainty but it looks like the converter is locking up as commanded. The high stall is probably...
Ok well that makes a lot more sense then. Thanks for the clarification.
Thanks for explaining, I am always trying to understand better the racing world. Getting better top speed I get, but a few tenth is surprising to me just because I would think it would slow them down...
Post a log so that we can see what is actually going on when it is acting up. Be sure to include all the transmission parameters and to log both cold when it is acting up and warm once it feels fine.
Glad it is working good now. Scary that they did not find the alignment issue, hopefully it does not happen again. Thanks for taking the time to post this update.
Thanks
I would call WIT at this point, they will assist you. I am not familiar enough with the procedure to transfer the programing in their unit to know why there is no way to load what you saved from the...
OK good. Then either take the TEHCM out of it and plug it in the vehicle harness or hoist the transmsision up if possible to get it close enough to reach so that you can connected the vehicle harness...
Assuming it is equipped with an 8HP, there is no low sprag, so you really don't want it to go back to first until you are stopped or it will have an unpleasant downshift clunk.
Do you still have the original transmsision there?
It must just be a VCM Scanner glitch then. The OSS is in the transmsision, you have to pull the pan to see it.
