There's like only 9 WOT data points in the log, tough to get anything meaningful, especially with such a low gear.
Based on the speed in the log, this must have been a second gear run. Second gear...
Virtual Dyno doesn't really like that log:
27665
The other tool gives about the same result as your last log:
27666
The .txt format of the log removes a bit of precision from the time...
Well, I gave it a shot with a couple of different tools I use. Here's the result using Brad's program:
27655
Here's the result using an excel program that calculates power based on smoothed...
Did you trim your log to only include the data points for the gear you selected? You're going to get improbably high results by including the first and second gear data points if you've selected...
It's odd that there's so much variation.
I ran your log through my spreadsheet and came up with an uncorrected 313/254 hp/tq.
Any idea how much those slicks expand at speed? Just 1" of...
I suppose that as a tuning tool, the important thing is consistency over time, not obtaining numbers that necessarily match another dyno or spreadsheet.
The spreadsheet I use typically is within...
I don't know the ins and outs of Brad's calculations, so can only speculate.
The spreadsheet I use calculates the force required to accelerate the vehicle based on the rpm and the time stamp in...
Hey 5LE,
I ran your data through a spreadsheet that I also use. Here's the results:

Is this remotely like what you would...
I did some playing around with this in the fall, before we iced up for the winter...
Very easy to use, and certainly can give you a sense of how tuning changes have affected on-road performance....
I see up to 6* of KR when DOD/AFM deactivates, so knock sensors are picking up some valvetrain noise.
I dealt with this primarily through increasing the recovery rate, rather than desensitizing...
Try this - Some of the custom histograms probably won't work for you....

This is really odd. I re-downloaded 2.22 from my customer page and still don't see the TUTD tables (yes, advanced view is enabled).
?????????????????????
Interesting.
I dont have TU/TD tables in my tune for an 05 LS4 4T65E-HD combo. Did these show up in a more recent release of HPT?
I do know that the engine will just bounce off the rev limiter...
Those tables are screwed up.
The forum doesn't seem to want to let me post a tune file anymore, so here's a screen shot of stock shift tables for the 05 GP GXP.

And another set of WOT...
Odd, all LS4's came from the factory with 3.29 differential gears. It's the ratio of the chain/sprockets on the input shaft that reduce the overall final drive ratio to 2.93.
At any rate, if...
Well, have you logged pids from the other spark modifier tables to see what effect they may be having?
As far as I know, there is no control specifically for STFT in the E40 ECM, but if you leave the engine in closed loop and just disable the LTFT, then by default the STFT's are still active. Here's a...
The STFT Maf histogram is only really useful if you have LTFT disabled. Trying to adjust the maf curve off just the STFT may take you the wrong way if LTFT's are enabled.
If you disable the LTFT,...
Dunno, I have the same issues with an E40 either standalone or using the laptop for datalogging. The fewer the PID's being logged the more prevalent the issue of inconsistent frame time intervals....
I see you've found some of Marcin's (Redhardsupra's) stuff.
He's got some pretty good ideas, although he does launch into some hyperbole from time to time.
I've had a few long conversations...
Seems unlikely to me. The solenoids need voltage to activate and supply oil pressure to disengage the pins in the DOD lifters, which is what causes the valves to stay shut. In other words, the...
I don't think it's possible. There's a whole swack of DOD code that we don't (and probably shouldn't) have access to.
I'ts probably not terribly good for the engine to have it run in DOD...
Already done that for V8 mode. I still want to filter the data so I only see the V4 mode data.
I'm exploring various options to see if I can find a way to estimate part throttle "mean best torque"...
Very interesting.
I was playing around with Access to combine logs over the winter, but my VB skills are virtually non-existent. Still, you can do some interesting analysis with just queries and...
