Ok a little better but still acts like its stuck in MAF mode. First crank after applying tune, it acts like it wants to (cylinder airmass is being calculated). Subsequent cranks, it shows 0. It does...

I'll give those a try!
Hey Guys,
Im having trouble getting this PCM to throw the P010x code and go into speed density.
It fires the injectors right when you crank, but that's it. It will run on starter fluid no...
There's no way your idle will be 30 or 35 kpa with an aftermarket cam.
Sure you can check them by driving the car. If your speedo works, the rear one is ok. If you have them switched, the speedo should move with engine rpm instead. You can also log Input Shaft RPM with...
Just download a stock 4l80e file and use the compare feature.
Try turning on all of the DTCs needed for a 4L80E. Maybe then the PCM can hint where the problem lies.
I was thinking....and you should be able to put the injection timing anywhere you want it....if 656 isn't late enough (8 Normal and 8 Boundary) then start thinking in terms of 2 engine cycles, ie 0...
Sure......run a 60e tune.
Here is one from the repository.
Try out Bluecat's spreadsheet:

No, if you change WOT shift points, it will not change the part throttle. Just make sure the 100% TPS shift...
No, I don't think lowering timing will change it. Yes, it will be harsher than a 4L60E, and no it will not hurt it, its just how they are. I can tell my band is a little worn in mine (Transbrake...
No, Th400/s 4L80s (depending on how they were built) are somewhat notorious for harsh gear engagement. As long as you are at idle, it will cause no harm. Its usually from the lack of wave plates in...
X2 I know I daily drive mine tuned with Beta software.
X2....most stock vehicles don't notice it due to the tight stall.
Yep I thinkthis is the case. I softened up the 1-2 as if the tables were swapped and it was softer.
TTT on this one. I think the 1>2 upshift pressure modifier vs trans temp vs tq is backwards. I think the tq and temp need to be swapped. If so, I was commanding 96 with the adder table also, since...
Most people flash an M6 tune. Not sure what issues you may run into with keeping an A4 tune (although last night I ran mine with the trans unplugged, and it ran the same, just threw some codes).
I would have to look at a 2004 Silverado tune to tell.
Problem with a light, is that you are only grounding it for a second, and I am no electrical genius. It may be possible with a small circuit...
Run a wire to pin C1 (blue connector) pin 71 and when you ground it for 1 second, it goes into performance mode, ground it again for 1 second back to regular.
If you need that steep of gears, you need mo powa :drivin:
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Post a tune?
Also on the next log, can you also log the trans pressure and calculated tq?
Yep. The solenoid shift pattern is different, and the 4l60 has 2 additional solenoids.
I was told (on Gen III PCMs) to try to get the mph and speed to exactly match and it will act much better.
