I'm guessing the LC1 controller is set up for a nominal ~14v DC input voltage. When you car is off the battery is suppling 12V. I don't know how well it is regulated inside, but it would make sense...
Took 2-3 days on a 2000 silverado to run the evap tests. This could of course be different since your vehicle is much younger.
I would try 2-3 days without touching the tune to see if it runs....
