I haven't done any WOT pulls yet. I wanted to make sure I had EVERYTHING right with the new fuel pump. I didn't need another hydrolock situation like the 1st motor.
I have one more tune that I...
This is the scan with the O2's bumped to 500 and zero'd O2's. See if this is more in line with what you are wanting to see.
I made the O2 changes and disabled the STFT. Everything else is the same for LTFT+STFT VE tuning. I also verified fuel trims zero'd out.
I think your right on the O2's. Back when I first started tuning the truck when you figured out the secondary VE had to be done first. It was suggested to make an adjustment to the O2's to see if it...
I'm not 100% sure what to look for based on your response to something not being right, but I found that the ECT vs. IAT wasn't maxed out so the truck was going into closed loop once it got to 149...
This is the tune that I used when I started scanning.
I found the missing PID's. Here is the first scan to look over. I have already made the first adjustment and it was showing rich but my WB still shows lean in the truck.
I'm missing something in my scanner. I have the LTFT + STFT math, Engine Speed( for column axis), and MAP (for Row Axis). Is that wrong?
So I have done WB VE tuning and I am setting up my STFT+LTFT tune to dial in my low speed. Do I still disable both STFT and LTFT or do I leave the STFT enabled? I have read it being done both ways.
The Stoich for the original base tune from the truck was adjusted and given to me by the engine builder. it was dropped to 14.08 from the 14.7 that is standard. I didn't question it because of the...
I didn't think you would be able to see anything, but wanted to put it out there just in case. As for the STFT+LTFT adjustments... The tables you see weren't reading until I enabled the them after...
This is the last scan with everything turned back on. There is something weird going on though with the transmission. While we were in SD the truck had the typical aggressive shifting, but nothing...
This is the latest scan and corresponding tune after. The breaking up after 3000 has disappeared, and the truck is starting to pull past 4000 as you can see from the scan. Let me know if you see...
Here is the 1st scan in SD mode so there is a baseline to compare with after I get a couple more so you can see my progress.
Thanks Rabbs. There has been alot that has taken place with this setup. I am getting a couple of log/VE adjustments in now and with share the changes as I do them.
How have things been. Hope all is well. attached is the scan I did for the MAF and the adjustment has been added to the tune. However, I am still dealing with the same issue I was before the pump...
We had to upgrade the fuel pump and couldn't find anyone that had one in stock. The new pump is a 255lph to get fuel past 3600rpm. I am starting fresh with the MAF and attached the last file I saved...
I'm not looking to do an intake swap or a spacer. The 03 tahoe has a new throttle body, and I will be using the original intake. I am building a 5.3 longblock and swapping the intake over, but wanted...
This is just a theory, but wanted some input from those that have had more time with tuning. This is what I have going on. 2003 Tahoe with a stock Gen3 4.8 DBW. I am upgrading the 2003 from the 4.8...
It is the stock fuel system. 25gph pump and inline filter. I haven't needed to upgrade the fuel system until now so I'm not sure what the best direction to go is for my setup. I am assuming by your...
I am guessing when you say filter you are talking about the inline filter on the frame rail? I only ask because I had replaced the pump a few years ago before I did the upgrades, and the pump also...
You can disregard the scans. I have found the fuel pump needs upgraded to finish tuning. That being said does anyone know what size I can go with that won’t necessitate upgrading the return line?
I have been able to use the day to get some tuning in and wanted to share progress. The last time I was at this point I had the 30# injectors in and the duty cycle was maxed out. I am attaching the...
I have updated the designated tables per your Data. Its attached if you want to make sure I did it correctly.
I am going to wait until Friday to get back to work on the truck. My son put the 30# back in and loaded the corresponding tune back to the truck. As for the information that you have graciously...
