sprry for thehijack but could this be the reason RTT is crashing the scanner as of late? i have added more parameters to log...
was running fine until about a week ago, and now everytime i go to open the RTT function the scanner freezes and then closes down.
Anyone with words of wisdom to cure this?
no i was'nt in closed loop- will the sensors not read in the scanner if it isn' t in CL?
heys guys- first off a bit of info-
5.3 lm7 with 5.7 cable throttlebody , standard truck intake, std internals, running 1bar SD tune, in a boat with a sterndrive.
when i back off the gas quickly...
just checked all the wiring now, no issue's there.Ill go raid a friends car for his sensors which i know are working to test on my engine.
Thanks for your help
Hmm- could it be as simple as two bad sensors? (purchased from aliexpress)
or would that not register the voltages im see at all?
looking at my logs my narrowband sensors are oscillating from 430-461Mv
is this the normal range for these or is something not right?
cheers guys
Heh yeah you're right, should have stayed in school longer i guess!
Oh hey is this the corrrect way to make a guage read in Knots from Mph in the math expression box?
[50020.114]*1.15077944802
cheers again guys
wow! thanks guys- got these loaded and ready to go this coming weekend- be prettyinteresting as ill be doing 12-18hours running over two days weather permitting.
sorry found a math for instant mpg with more searching that seems to be doing its thing- will work on its accuracy when the weather clears enough to get the boat back on the water.
anyone know how...
can someone provide me with a way to add a MPG gauge to my scanner please.
tried the user math posts ive found using the search engine but cant seem to get them working
thanks
Glenn
anyone have a step by step for creating this function to suit a neanderthal?
does hp support this model holden running the LS3 engine?
cheers
Awesome! thanks for your input. will keep those who wish to follow this updated once the parts arrive.
Im running a LM7 in a boat here in new zealand and would like to add if possible some fuel readouts for economy and mpg.
looking at this scangauge2 obd2 gauge it seems to be exactly what i want...
what type of signal does the ecu get when moving from park/neutral to in gear?
is it an earth or something a little more?
thanks guys
Would using a momentary switch connect to the park/in gear terminal work if I pulled ignition timing in the corresponding map?
Would that unload the engine enough or am I lost
ahh good old google. cheers
Hey all- Ive got the 5.3 running in my boat and am now messing round with a few things to improve my boats abilities.
One thing id like to be able to do is log fuel usage- this is where ive come...
Just found this thread- the MPG math i like- could anyone here add how to phrase that formula in Kilometers per liter possibly?
61513
apparently the way the gears are cut require unloading of the drive when pulling out of gear into neutral or reverse to avoid excessive wear or destruction of the gears.
ahh yep all good.
My current way of thinking is to simply place a momentary cutout switch on the shift plate that as i shift from drive to neutral will simply kill the 12v supply to 4 of the coils...
ooh.. interesting where can i find more details on this? (searching now)
