Have you had any luck with your issue?
I recently swapped in a 2002 5.3 with a 2001 harness/ecm into a 1991 c1500.
I'm using some Ford Windstar fans and my low fan stays on at startup regardless...

FWIW: The solid pink wire on the stock injector harness is on Accessory power from the vehicle. The other various color is the ground signal from the PCM.
