Works fine on mine. The only issue is that it shows 0 degrees on first run after reflash...
So throttle desired MAP, desired airmass, desired airflow vs actual is what to set up in the logger. I have a 07 CTS V w E67 and these data items aren't available. So... any idea where to start?
I tried this for months (and my current tune still includes this methodology). However, I still end up with the maximum MAP value feeding the equation as 105KPa even though my "MAP Estimated Max"...
OK - I have asked this question in another thread but this seems to be the home for definitive EOIT timing discussion so I will ask here as well. We want to use the injector pulsewidths from a WOT...
Should the IVT terms be changed when scaling a tune manually (using a factor on all air and fuel values)? I have manually scaled all of the air and fuel values in my tune and things work pretty well...
I went back and added them in. They are so small I would consider them in the noise for everything but maybe around idle.
Deka shorty 63lbs FI114962
8 lbs (most are seeing nearly 10lbs of...
I made an attempt to implement the guidance offered in the spreadsheet but don't think the results were positive (the car is requiring more fuel at all rpms to reach stoich). Anyone care to take a...
Just started following this thread. LOTS of goodness so far. Thanks to all for doing this! I can't wait to try these injection timing schemes on my car.
Thanks guys for the info. Still playing around and trying to figure out transient fuel.
Does anyone know what the "furl from wall stabilization" data field does in tunes? I have looked at the help file (nothing), searched this forum (most questions about this one are followed by...
Also look at the VVE table in the idle cells. This can cause the issues you mention as well.
Is it just me or does there seem to be more knock on the DI engines? Every log file of stock tunes I have looked at on DI engines has had knock.
If you have a single cylinder knocking you will see higher knock retard (degrees) on that cylinder and lower everywhere else. If you have sporadic knock from all it shows up fairly evenly across...
Barum - I am struggling with the equation above. Will the CommandedAFRHiRes not deal with commanding other than stoich or is it just to address alcohol percentage? (BTW - I don't have access to...
Point taken, the term "data" is vague in my initial usage (I knew what I was talking about :) ). Substitute Graphed Data Item for the first usage and Data Set Used For Filtering for the second usage...
Thank you! That I understood. I have not been keeping an eye on baro as I always thought it was based on KOEO measurement right before cranking. Looking back through my logs I am seeing the baro...
I am really NOT trying to beat you up on this just trying to understand (and not getting there). You said it doesn't process the data per se. I get that. It is not CHANGING the data. It is using...
I guess I am not sure what you are asking... I did read a couple of posts on the baro update. They seem to focus on the E38s. I am on an E67 so I may not have that field. If I do I haven't seen...
Not being contradictory but just seeking to understand this statement. Background: I have been using slope to eliminate transients. It definitely works well on TPS. I have also been using it on...
I'm not sure about others but I used it in 2.24 A LOT on playback files. The work around is just to look at the channel data so not a huge deal but still surprising.
Yes the MAP sensor reads accurately during full boost. It is just the cylinder air/dynamic airflow values that appear whacked.
It was 105KPa and now is 235 KPa. The change made a difference...
My tune now has access to Estimate MAP Maximum and Manifold Volume. I have adjusted both and will report back. Thanks Bill!
Very likely but I have a hard time stating that conclusively without him logging "DFCO active"
If you look at 11:03:05 it looks like the typical DFCO pattern for the spark (Ramp down hold then...
CC nailed it. Even in MAF only mode the ECM uses the VVE to determine airflow during transients both positive and negative. Also it appears your coastdown spark is VERY negative. You may not be...
