Once you set your open loop table to the fueling you like, then log the AFR variance on average and apply that to the AFR table. Of course this is best done after the AE/DE is tuned. It worked great...
One long steady pull will yield more accurate readings then many fast rapid throttling. Obviously don't go too low in gear.
Filtering out erroneous data will also help A LOT. Like filtering out...
Okay, thanks. I was perceiving a percentage change on a percentage change, if that makes sense. Like half a pizza (50%), now take 50% of that which makes 25%. 0.5*0.5=0.25
It seemed logical to...
Probably, especially changing to manual trans mode. If the problem persists, it isn't a function of the trans operation. Beyond that, I believe the EGR is the only system that can change spark values...
Yes I get that, BUT the PCm will make spark changes according to what it THINKS it is doing to the trans. It doesn't need control to attempt control and thus make spark changes. When the TCC locks up...
Good idea, seems the PCM might think it is commanding idle conditions when the RPM levels out, even at higher rpm.
Similar function occurs with the barometric value. The barometric value is...
For me it is [PID.6000] and they have to be loaded in the table window to work elsewhere in the software (not knowing if you knew that).
I've searched all I can and can't find a solid answer.
What and how can we use this feature? dx/dy
[PID.12.dx/dy]
It would be awesome to use rate of change variables in custom PID's....
When exporting to excel document, would like custom PID's ( [user.#] ) to export with the standard set of data.
In the scanner, filtering a histogram by frame would be nice too.

I too have that issue.
Drop the MAF table to give a lower airflow reading. To prevent going rich, adjust the injector flow rates. Now your car thinks it is flowing less air and thus will get a lower cylair reading.
I...
It is definitely worth a try adding those sensors. Suppose this is the spark changes from the PCM thinking it is locking up the TCC.
IDK but that is perplexing.
I would guess possibly the PCM sees the RPM not climbing as fast, appearing near steady and commands idle spark?
Or maybe going into High RPM (trim 4 for most) past...
Log your Barometric Pressure and see if your PCM is registering proper atmosphere. Then go into boost and see if the PCM is adjusting the barometric pressure value with max MAP readings.
If you...
Sorry for the delay in reply, I'll post up a scanner file you can load. It is possible your tune is that close already.
Load this in the scanner histogram editor.

When it comes to tuning, do what works best for you. I believe every tuner has their own method unique to them and the car/build. Gathering bits of knowledge along the way. As Cobaltssoverbooster...
Ahh that sucks.....the file is too big for HPT to host it. Once I get some work together I'll fix it up and find a better host.
I'll be adding to this thread over time. Answer questions, correct mistakes, add new tuning documents as I build them, etc. Much easier to explain my method once in it's own thread versus many times...
Be sure your Fuel Injector vs Voltage tables are correct. Sometimes running lean at idle can be caused by the ign voltage dropping and the injectors are commanded to little.
Before you tune the...
Accel enrichment might be an issue if not turned off or tuned for e85. Though this is speculation on my part.
Start up AFR changes might be too much as well.
I agree with planethax, need tune...
Try this.....
Make a histogram that averages the LTFT. The top X axis is MAF Hz, 1500,1625,1750,1875,2000,2125,2250,etc.........
Filter the data by eliminating Fuel Trim Cells that are 1 and...
It does, but that's what comes with the build. Weak parts going to break, replace them. My 4t60e trans got shredded in 3 good boosted runs. Took me a year to swap in a manual trans. However, the 96...
The fuel trims, I do believe you multiply the STFT by the LTFT to get the over all fuel trim.
LTFT: 1.1
STFT: 1.2
Adding gives 1.3% trim but the real number is this, 1.2% STFT from the LTFT at...
What I meant, you already fixed. Calibrating the wideband data log to the sensor. A multiplier is a better way to skew the readings instead of addition. Doesn't matter too much, just a point of...
