Merry Christmas to Everyone!
All I want for Christmas is the Cam Position of my '08 Denali VVT 6.2L engine!!! Or of course the SD OS so I can see what this SC'd truck can really do :) Have a...
ktoonsez ... Thanks for all of the work I know you have got into this so far ... I am still trying to figure out a way to read or calculate the cam angle but I think you are 100% correct. Without...
Still waiting patiently ... Blue Cat works well but I need the VVT info for my 6.2L Denali. ... SEMA is over ... get back to work and send me the beta for Christmas ;)
Have a Merry Christmas guys...
Thanks for compiling the guide into a more user friendly document! Excellent info and I wish I could add something but I am still trying to absorb the provided info. Keep up the great job!
ktoon ... Thanks for all of the time I know you and Bluecat put into this!! Awesome tool ... I hate asking for more features but I am very glad you are doing it because it is beyond me :)
My...
Mine is also an '08 AWD Sierra Denali and I added a TVS1900 @ 6PSI
I never scanned mine before the SC was installed but I have done a little tweaking since then. Even when not in boost I was seeing...
It looks to me like your IATs drop off you and are going lean.
The following are listed in this format from your log file in order of the times you hit each ... RPM, IAT, mV (AFR) - 5824, 91, 890...
You need to know how much current is flowing at various different voltage levels. The formula you are looking for is E = I*R. If at 5V you have 20mA stock then you can reverse the formula R = E/I...
So I "think" I have a handle on how this works ... For my engine ('08 6.2L VVT w/ MagnaCharger TVS1900 @ 6#) I still have the one BIG unknown ... Cam Angle ... any chance this is coming soon? Can...
From what I have read on the VVT system that is exactly what it is doing. Straight "up" = 0 then a + or - from that point for advance / retard respectively.
At this point if I just had a PID to know what the cam angle is I could tune around it. The new E38 OS has (according to the thread for it) VVT support with the tables etc. so that is going to be...
Glad I read this b4 I screwed mine up ... thanks :)
Ugh ... I need that new OS it sounds like ... the truck has been running great and I think it may even "feel" a little stronger but that is subjective after all of the time I have spent on it. I did...
All of the above testing was done at WOT. I think that the initial clutch engage which appears to be triggered by the MPH is done premptively so that the inertial factors and timing can then take...
My vehicle = '08 AWD Sierra Denali 6.2L A6, TVS1900
I am NOT an expert at this and have tons left to learn so please take these observations with a grain of salt because I don't know all of the...
It sounds very nice! Now hurry it up!! :yay: I am trying to exercise patience but not succeeding very well :burnout: It will get here when it gets here ... Keep up the great work guys!!
Can someone chime in as to the way the cam adjusts its' position. Is it load based or is it purely X angle @ Y RPM.
If it were a fixed position based on RPM I should be able to get my VE tuned...
Very Nice!!! Looks and sounds like you guys have it dialed in nicely.
Chris I need that update for my truck!!! LOL
Ok ... so where can I find the cam position PID or Sensor ... am I just missing it because I haven't seen it :) ... I have already sent through the request for the new custom OS beta. Is there any...
In my truck I lowered the shift speed a little bit and upped the RPM a little bit to 5800. The WOT shifts are right on the money.
Congrats on your results!! Can't wait for this update!! Keep up the great work HP Tuners!!
I spent several hours today working on getting the VE dialed in a bit. It is definately a bit challenging with additional things that I can't see having an effect.
Here are the results ... LT and...
First I am new to this so I may post some really whacked out ideas. If so let me know.
What I have been looking at doing is using the GM VE parameter in a histogram of RPM vs kPa in order to get...
This thing is awesome and really the only way thus far to try and get the VE dialed in ... I have 1 "small" request ... is there any chance that you guys could add in the portion of the equation for...
I understand and I know you guys will get to it as soon as you can. It is very much appreciated.
