I seem to have better luck with the MPH. Mine pretty much ignores the RPM.
You didn't change tire size, did you?
I have to set my shift points (RPM) way low to get the car to shift properly at WOT.
I don't know anything about if / how the trans learns.

My 08 Corvette with E38 has the 63.5 lb limit in the IFR table. I have looked at tune for 2009 Corvettes, also using the E38 and they do not have the limit.
