This is a constant ongoing issue on my 2014 GT. Will fail over and over and over. Every time it happens I lose all motivation to do anything with the car... or it's time for a real ECU.
Car makes no power on E85 at .87 lambda, actually loses some ponies. Lambda with E85 is maybe .1-.2 leaner than pump gas. High 20's/low 30's for WOT ignition is highly overadvanced, our car didn't...
Of course, been doing Ford's for quite a few years.
I didn't bother reindexing that table, but putting it down to 60 worked like a charm for me.
Yeah the car has really nice O2's on it, LSU 4.9's IIRC. What is the delay table? I haven't seen this one yet, seems I go into the WOT fuel targets pretty much the moment I cross the throttle...
Yes I'm aware of this behavior, the only time it's ever in true OL is during the programmed delay waiting for the O2 sensors to warm up, from what I've seen.
Thanks PST, that did it. I had looked at it previously but the labeling is deceiving... since the car never truly runs open loop... :)
Well that didn't do it
How do we get the 11+ GT's to target the WOT lambda table sooner? Will lowering the "pedal pos WOT start" value in airflow/ETC achieve this? I'm already entering OP mode under the VCT settings pretty...
My SCT X3 device won't let me log via my laptop unless I have it loading a custom tune on the car first -- is this what you're doing then using HPT to tune from there, or is there a trick i'm missing...
Sort of. Exhaust Cam Angle logs, Intake Cam 2 Angle logs. INtake Cam angle doesn't log properly (hence why I used intake cam 2).
I don't see this switch in HPT
I have it set to .8, but it's under the cat protection tab in HPT, doesn't seem to be it since I have cat temp control off anyway.
That one I see in HPT...
I have stoich AFR set to 9.8 in the calibration (only way it would even work IIRC). There must be some enrichment tables we're missing or something? AFR does not go lean when the fuel trim gets...
Any update on scanning for the Coyote yet?
During "target neutral" torque source, I get -20% to -30% fuel trims, for some reason, and I haven't been able to track it down myself. MAF curve is spot on -- within like 5-6%. The car has 60#...
Had my battery charger on it during initial troubleshooting. Not really worried about it now that I have it running fairly well with HPT. SCT's support blows dick, I keep emailing the dealer support...
The car is a '14 with 3k miles. Sits around 11.8-12.0 w/ key on. Highly doubt the battery is bad... lol. Considering HPT flashes just fine....
I deleted the whole Ford database and updated. No...
^ I'm pretty sure I have a bad SCT flasher btw, tried building a fresh SCT cal and still fails.
Good info! Thanks.
I suspected maybe a calibration corruption issue, so this must be it then?
I think it's more an SCT device issue than anything else -- I'm still able to write with your hardware, just took a quick 10-15 minute break and the car flashes again. Flashed it a couple more times...
What issues? The car just has cai/offroad hpipe/exhaust. Quite literally haven't touched anything electrical on the car.
I let the car sit for 15 minutes and now it's taking flashes just fine again.
WTF.
Have a weird issue... '14 GT, was originally on SCT, flashing fine... then started failing repeatedly today (would fail to flash), tried like 8 times... restore to stock, then reflash. Restore to...
