AC Delco Part #17113598 - like $240 from the dealership, or $100ish from Amazon - same part.
That's what I'm figuring out at this point. I was going to go all "engineer" on the TB and compare measurements for the IAC openings in both the stock and Holley Sniper...but...I think I'm just kind...
I just ordered a 4 bolt manifold to 3 bolt throttle body plate so I can swap the old throttle body on and play with that. I'm pretty sure that it's going to solve all my commanded idle issues...and...
It's not the Dodge IAC - it is a brand new GM IAC that's specific to a handful of Gen 3 engines. Fits like a glove in to both the new and stock throttle body. On the Sniper page for the specific...
I've heard the "Nick Williams" brand name a few times recently...but didn't when I was building the motor. I'll have to check them out. I think this issue is more/less just my engineering brain...
Accurate. I pulled off the TB last night and took the IAC out. Turned the key on, and then set the IAC manually to 0. I then put it back in the IAC hole on the TB to see if there was any kind of...
I have - it moves...it just doesn't stop airflow at zero
It's a GM one - I even replaced it today with a brand new one - still sucking air through that port.
Well, it's definitely not a rogue vacuum leak - I've looked and looked, and can't find one. I did however take the intake tube off while it was idling, and when the IAC is showing "0" (closed), I can...
It's a Summit 8712 cam made for more low end (since it's in a Jeep). Specs from a previous thread:
Engine was built with 209/217 112 lsa mild summit cam (8712), LS6 style valve springs, flat...
I just hunted down a similar issue, and mine turned out to be how I had modified my fuel delivery, however, I don't suspect that's the issue here since you haven't mentioned any upgrades in that...
I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but this is my first time really diving in to tuning. I have a 92mm Holley Sniper throttle body on my LS 5.3 (TBSS intake manifold on a Gen3 LM7), and my IAC...
Thank you for all of your help - I really appreciate it! I'll be a lot less likely to come here for help now! :)
See now...I move too fast for that. I've already removed the check valve, driven it around, and tested it on a timer to see how long of a soak it can take before I can't start...and it still fires...
Holy crap. That worked. I owe you a beer. Send me your Venmo and I'll send you one!!!
Should I remove that check valve all together?
I'm at a loss here to be honest, and I typically never ask for help for fear of sounding dumb - literally built my 5.3 by myself in my garage from tons of reading/research before/during the build...
