 This was it. Thanks for the help:D Once I made this change using my modified VE table the car would hardly idle it was sooo lean:bigshock:
I started over with the stock VE and I got...
Russ, I had the open loop table set to 1.00 when I first experienced this problem (see post #1 and #4). I only changed it back to stock b/c I didn't know what else to do...
I'm still looking for guidance. Today I went back thru my notes and made a few small changes. I changed my MAF fail from 5Hz to 0Hz, I changed my DTC's to MIL on first error for P101, P102, P103...
Wouldn't you leave your olfa at 1.00 (or stock) and adjust your ve table? my problem is that changes to my ve do not change my idle afr.
plus i have a small cam...z06 cam
Commanded lambda = 1.00 in my log
OLFA....this table right (see attached)? It is at 1.00
ECT is in the 165 to 170 range
Let me ask another way...what fuel tables are referenced at idle and low MAP values? Why would I only have this problem in open loop?
I need some help to understand what I'm overlooking. Here's my setup:
1999 Camaro, M6
317 truck heads (around 9-9.5:1 CR)
LS6 Cam
LS6 Intake
Seimens 60# injectors
Stock exhaust
2Bar OS with...
Thanks for the info...I believe the 99's can be upgraded:)
Newb question...how do you upgrade to a 2002 OS? Do you just download one from the tune repository and do a write entire?
Just ran a google search (in addition to the forum search) and it appears that my issue is normal and I can go on with life. More of an FYI to anyone else with the same issue...
see post #5...
correct. I deleted the 1 bar MAP and added the 2 bar MAP.
yes
Are you still looking for a solution or did you go ahead and start tuning?
I just upgraded my 1999 Camaro to the 2 Bar operating system and I installed a GM 2 bar MAP sensor (p/n 12615136) in preperation for a turbo. When I have the key on / engine off the new 2 bar MAP...
Yes, you can buy an adapter
Your camaro has an EV6 connector.
39# Ford injectors have an EV6 connector.
42# Ford Green tops have an EV1 connector.
47# Ford injectors have a USCAR connector.
BTW, the 47# injectors use a different connector
You might want to consider the Ford 39# injectors from an 03-04 Cobra (p/n M-9593-m39) . They flow a little less than the 42# green tops but they are a newer/better design in my opinion. If those...
I'm using Ford Motorsport 30# (Skinny) p/n M-9593-BB302. I'm running around 80% duty cycle with my 230/234 cam and ported 243 heads. You may need larger injectors than me with your afr's; just make...
Yes, I needed larger injectors when I was cam only. With heads and cam you will need injectors for sure.
Sure…I’ll try
Here is some basic information on injector flow characteristics (reaching back in my memory from over 5 years ago). I will start with the most common injector components, starting...
I was actually reffering to your comment "If anyone figures out how to get FP vs MANVAC histogram going in HPT without major hacks, please let me know, right now it's a bloody mess." Although I'm...
