Here's the email "Commanding full converter lockup, before 5200rpm everything looks great, then u can c what happens"
Since then they told me they attempted to command third gear only, sorry, I...
Not sure what all the shop did to attempt it. But they tried everything they could think of. They made 21 pulls. So it's not like they gave up quickly.
We are using a factory main harness and the pcm4less adapter harness for 4l65 to 4l80. It runs fine. Just won't lock up on the dyno. But apparently is a common problem with high hp cars and hpt.
2005 GTO converted from M6 to 4L80e using a A4 donor harness, T42 and the car flashed to A4 using Tech2. Built 4L80 with Yank SC3000. Car was recently at the local speed shop and strapped to their...
ok, sounds good. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something tuned in that was creating a problem. Thanks for looking it over.
I'll have to check the temps. I don't drive it very often. It shifts very hard / firm and it doesn't seem to want to lock up the converter until around 60mph.

Tried a few things tonight. Did the crrank relearn. Also wondering if maybe it's a bad tank of gas? So I added a bottle of 108 octane boost to the tank of the 24 (?) gallons of fuel that was...

Kyle aka silverstreak04 is going to bring his diagnostic scanner by the house asap. Kyle is an awesome service tech at a very good shop and is the resident GTO guru.
well, I need to figure out what the problem is with the tb. We have a dtc of P2101. The a4 donor harness arrived with a damaged pigtail for the tb so I ordered a replacement pigtail and Josh...
thanks, just wondering how that works with a speed density tune?
To get it to crank = the aftermarket alarm.
It first fired and would only run for a couple seconds = changed tune to 2bar map as it was in original custom tune.
Current tune and data log...
ok.... it cranks, it runs ROUGH. Slipped in to safe mode, and running REAL rich. Scanner found P2101. I obviously didn't get ALL the tune files transferred over.
paging Mike aka steel chicken
hmmmm.... Same results. Time to recheck the wiring and maybe the aftermarket alarm. JOSH
ok.... Phil aka blue devil called. He had me open the stock tune and copy all the custom stuff from my tune to the stock tune, I saved it and know I am headed to the garage to load the new tune.
