I had a lifter go out. I'm thinking that could be what was causing the high knock. Will know in a week or so.
I’m reading all kinds of stuff about wideband O2 sensors, but I don’t find a write up about what kind of sensor and how to hook them up. Or for that matter, how to use them specifically

I was trying to follow the suggestion about desensitizing the knock sensors, but the hi load table has a value of 39 in it, and when I try to double it, it tells me the value is outside of the...
Thanks for the quick reply. Haven't looked at them yet. Seems to me to be false knock, but can't determine anything yet. car has 194xxx miles on it. Will have to look at the sensors.

That's an idea. I can't hear the knock, but see crazy knock on the log.
I don't know what a csv file is. This isn't during heavy part throttle, it's pretty much during any part throttle.
Hi,
I've turned off the EGR, which was causing part throttle knock before. Just scanned it again and not only is the knock back, but it's much worse. Does anyone have ANY idea? I don't feel anything...
It is the new body style. So, what does that mean for configs and tranny info? To write to the PCM, do we need to do anything special? How bout to read tranny info? Something about pulling the TCM...
Ok, my friend has an 07 Silverado 2500 with the 6L engine and 6spd auto trans. What kind of PCM does it have and is there a config file for it? And what kind of tranny is it, and do I have to do...

Big time! The air is way thinner even at the altitude you're at in the summer. You'd be better off having 2 tunes. IMO
I've seen where humidity will cause a faulty plug wire or coil to short to ground, causing a condition like what you're seeing. Would only happen at night or while it was raining.
Have you read the getting started section in this forum?
Ok, thanks.
Thanks Bill, but it doesn't answer my question...which is; can I edit or view and existing PID? Here's my issue. I have a 97 Regal, and the timing is shown as a negative number. I'd like to be able...
So, how do I get it to ignore vacuum?
I tried that one, but it seemed to not report anything. I also tried the one in the help files. It is [PID11.IMP]-14.5
It does show info when I scan, but at idle it reads -8.x??? I'm not sure what's...
Is it possible to edit or at least view and existing PID? If so, can someone tell me how?
TIA.

Would they come with rockers and valves, seeing as it probably won't use stock rocker arms?
Well, in the engine diag area is where I meant. I can't find where to set the MAF freq for a fail, so I'll just disconnect it.
Edit, I checked the 98 Regal .bin and it's there, and it's there on...
Is there a way on the 97 Regal PCM to turn the MAF off? There isn't anything in my general tab under engine diag.
