The LT4 generally pulls timing after a cold start to keep the rpm's up for a very brief time. I think it's less than thirty seconds.

I've read that also. Most tuners disable LTFT's until throttle/idle is set, then tune WOT with LTFT's.

The idle still dips well below the desired idle when abruptly letting off the throttle or blipping it. It should fall gradually and settle at the desired limit.
