Why isn't accurate injector characterization data ubiquitous?
Swing is from 14.2-15.3, with some anomalous dips and surges on and off throttle and a tendencies to swing up to 16s at red lights. Hangs there for longer than i like, but one thing at a time.
Tried something, switched to 39lb cobra injectors i hadkicking around from the stage1 kit. Trims dialed perfectly, afr sweeps narrowed considerably. But, still cant get commanded idle and still some...
Yes I am starting to think that my setup isn't going to be as straight forward to tune as I had hoped. Waiting on an MP-90 kit from Euthanasia, I don't think that is going to help matters.
I do...
Tried another trick, this one worked like a charm and cured the cruise controlling and idle bounce after a dash of throttle. Raised the scalar to 4000 from 2950. I recall once reading the ETC scalar...
It works on a Cobalt, and the OPs Camero too.
Yay, there was a big thread about doing just this on css.net so i knew it was possible.
Oh no doubt, this is where it was suggested to start. Take the difference between old intake duration and new and subtract across the table.
Restored the blended SD/MAF model, rewatched Banish's DVD and actually tried something new. I have the ZZP cams, 10* more duration that stockers on the intake and Greg pointed out a table, Injection...
Isn't there a way to turn off the readiness monitors in hp?
Something strange is going on, been trying to dial in trims which has lead to throttle bounce and surging when letting off the gas and also going rich on decel.
Did a quick log tonight while...
I use flow rate modifier vs. volts to scale up the injectors, are you saying an L61 doesn't have that table?
I know ZZP and others don't touch the 2.2s, might be yet another one of the reasons why.
Using: ([PID.11]-[PID.51])/6.8948
(MAP-BARO)/6.8948=PSI boost
Now as I understand it, MAP measures absolute pressure above vacuum thus my PID shows a negative value while cruising.
Is their...
Thanks guys, took a tank to figure out that it is quite optimistic. That said, I did a long 1000 mile trip and even highly modded with a canned tune managed comparable #s to bone stock.
tire size:
VCM Editor>Speedo>Gear/Tire Calc
My cobalt, after dropping pulley size, adding bigger injectors and a larger LS4 TB is now running like a diesel with great down low and amazing fuel economy. Tuning to date was been relegated to...
My best guess is that it multiplies voltage values within the injector control tables thus increasing flow rates without scaling. Of course I could be 100% wrong, but that is how I'm wrapping my head...
Looked at another 2.4 tune last night with 60#s and they also worked around the hard code limit by using the flow rate vs. volt modifier, easier than scaling a bunch of tables I suppose.
Thanks Google, will do :)
Doing some tranny logging, well i'm trying to but after all is said and done and I go to save the log it does save it but as a 0 byte file and the save as screen goes into a feedback loop and doesn't...
I would think the market is rather limited, plus the subject matter is fairly complex for j6p to wrap their heads around.
I cheated, had stage 2 file that worked around it but one of the fellas here that was helping me didn't exactly like the values. None the less, it runs and idles like stock.
A 2007 2.4l LE5, if...
Just tried this today in my cobalt, you'll likely find that the table only accepts values up to a certain limit and will need to be scaled. And from what I've read if you scale the flow rate tables...
Yep, this. is. brutal.
Ok Bill, just didn't want to use the wrong one, only the 2 were in my beta.
