    Get an ECA from a Mustang with 4 or 5 speed and 302--simplest way to accomplish this. Yes, the VSS 'missing' does affect things.

    Absolutely. It's a possibility your converters are restricted. Relatively simple to check by testing exhaust backpressure (pre-cat).

    17 degrees on a non-intercooled is more than too high. Probably why you're seeing a lot of KR. Missfires don't cause transmission slippage, but removing the TQM on the trans side is slow transmission...

    Hey Lloyd,

    Yes...same grief here. Sometimes the byte is flipped on or off...I end up having to recompare in hex to make sure what was 'supposed' to happen, does.

    I don't believe you can reflash through the J3 port--why not just come in through the 'front door' ? That's how Ford has been doing it for years. The bin files aren't scrambled, although their format...
