Nice info! That helped me get my trans settings where I wanted.
I do believe re-scaling the injector tables will change what the computer calculates as your fuel economy. My advice would be to do the math by hand and see how it compares to what the DIC shows. ...
Any word on what may have been causing this problem? Could it have been using the low octane table for some reason?
Edit: Looked at your tune and scan, and the numbers seem to be pretty close...
Got it figured out! I did a little more reading and found Russ K's instructions on gear changes. I used his method, and everything is working flawlessly. Thanks, Russ, for sharing all of your...
Still having issues. Anyone with a similar problem or some advice on something to try?
I put a used transmission into my car last week and have noticed that on the highway or anytime the torque converter is supposed to be locked, I get an oscillating lock/unlock at 10-15% throttle....
Anytime you make a modification that adds power, re-tuning the MAF is highly recommended to see all of the benefits of the mod(s). You can get by, however, with no tuning or throwing a pre-set tune...
When I start the car the initial start-up is very rough. It starts instantly, like always, but almost immediately drops down to 500-600 RPM and sounds like it's starved for fuel for just a second or...
You might just compare the two and make a few changes at a time and see how it affects your car. If you change everything at once and multiple things don't work right, you will have a mess of a...
I don't know a whole lot about the Cobalts, but the MAF and MAP look okay to me. What I noticed was that your TPS never reached full close or full open. I saw a range from 17% up to 88% max.
I think performance mufflers are going to accentuate the cam lope even more. If anything, raise the idle 100 RPM and see if it smooths out.
The PLX is what I'm planning on buying. I just have to get enough injector for my car first. If I go anything over 75% throttle and 5000 RPM, I'm looking at 100+% IDC!!!
The Lucas 42.5# injectors would give you a little extra, but not be so big like the 60's you have. Or a set of stock L67 injectors would get you pretty close, but be a little shy of 42#. You can...
What about adjusting what the computer considers Stoich? Every tune I've looked at for 3800's has had it stock at 14.70020, but why couldn't we bump it up to 14.9 or 15.0. Is that too far out of...
I've got a loaner available to me as soon as my roommate gets a new sensor...
But, yes, after I get a new set of injectors, a WB will be my next investment.
I figured it out!!!
The upper portion of my MAF table was still somewhat based off of my old tune, when I had a stock TB. So, everything before PE was dialed in, but since I didn't start with a...
8.5 psi is about what I should be running. I only have a 3.4" blower pulley with an XP cam. I can't go too high on the boost due to the 9.5:1 compression I'm running.
I went ahead and checked...
The o2 is a new Denso unit I picked up about a month and a half ago. I just did a short scan on my way home from work. Here it is.
Edit: Take a look at my o2 levels under WOT. I've added fuel...
Here is the current tune and the most recent scan I took.
The car is a '97 GTP with 9.5:1 diamond pistons, 4" semi-FWI, N* TB, XP cam, ported blower ported LIM, ported heads, 3.4 pulley, P-Log w/...
I've done the fueling, and the car is running fine, I just have an entire column in my spark tables that I can't use because my air mass is maxing out around .80 g/cyl. The far right column of .92...
On my '97 I don't see anywhere to adjust the engine displacement. What do I need to do in order to compensate for a .020" bore on my GTP?
Well, this one's NA. It has even smaller injectors, but I really hope they're not already maxed out with such little done to the car.
Sorry for the slow responce.
I disabled the EGR and set the scanner up to only read the front o2 sensor (I was reading both). The partial throttle KR is gone and the NB o2's are up where they...
I did a few scans of a friend's NA GP tonight and noticed that at full throttle that his IDC's are above 100%. What could be causing this? I haven't changed the flow rates at all, so I hope the...
Adjust the MAF and timing tables. Being a stock car, you shouldn't have to worry about out flowing your MAF. Do adjustments based off your fuel trims related to MAF frequency.
