sorry man... this is something I was meaning to get back to, and never did..
the pull up resistor seems like a solid lead though.. I'd research that and see if hooking up pin 25 on the blue...
I realize that selling stuff on here is not allowed.... with that being said... where would you guys recommend I should sell this thing?
it's a like new Eddy Current for the DynoJet 224x
I'm...
we run that same engine (and E67)in our Buggies, we just tune it as a Pontiac solstice, works great.
man... if you feel like driving to Saginaw, you can use my benchtop setup..
once I bought the eficonnection pro benchtop setup, all my weird problems went away
...
What error do you get?
that would be my guess too...
too much resistance thru one of my wires... maybe HPT is less picky.. who knows..
glad it's over!
hope the OP is all set too, didn't mean for my post to take over...
the weird part for me was that HPT worked fine with my home-made adapter, but not GM stuff...
sorry.. yes..
the problem I had MUST have been in my homemade adapter
once I plugged in the EFI Connection "pro" adapter it worked like butter!
well, I ordered my benchtop programming adapter from EFI Connection, and I use SPS, so we shall see
I will report back
if I am reading this right, the BCM allows it to pass the "off board programming detected"?
very interested in what the people in the know say about this
I haven't seen that error yet.....
what error do you get?
and what are you doing exactly?
like reprogram via tis2web .. ect...
Thanks..
I'm just going to order one..
this problem has caused me more grief than the cost of the adapter..
thanks for the fast reply...
your bench programming adapter....
home made?
just wires?... with resistors?
I was thinking about buying the pro level one that EFI Connection makes
maybe its...
I've not had problems in the past reprogramming a couple E67's with the GM MDI (and my homebuilt programming adapter) but recently have E4399 error with both the MDI and Mongoose Pro GM2 (of course...
I'll see what I can do this weekend.. thanks
changed to VSS and it failed before the end of the driveway... same thing... gave it a little gas, dropped the clutch... and nothing on the pedal... just idle..
any other suggestions?
no, .. I will give that a shot and report back.. thanks for the help
of course, I could post my .hpt file here if it helps anyone
mine is set to RPM not VSS (I just checked), so is this NOT my problem?
any other suggestions?
Thanks for the prompt reply!
No, no BCM
Not sure what you mean by ecu learns...
And yes, this problem has been from day 1
Can't wait to hear how your guy solved that problem
Thanks again
I have a LE5 in a dune buggy (well 2 of them actually)
donor car is a 2006 G6 with a ECU from a 2007 HHR (E67 ECU)
we have removed vats, and a few DTC's that were not needed, and it runs pretty...
yep I did that..
looks pretty simple..
I guess I will try it and report back... wish me luck
I think the hardest part is going to be putting a wire in the connector where there isn't one now...
