While I can't answer your question, I can say that many guys that swap over to a turbo put in about a 6"long section of 3"piping around the MAF to slow the air down some and get back under the limit.
The stage 2 file is the same for 05-06 years, I think there is one in the repository. If not I can attach one here

I just tried doing what you said and it still comes back with no data. For some reason the cobalts report TPS at WOT as 88% and not 100% I think that is causing the error.
