If the E78 and the L96 were pulled from the same vehicle it should work. What do you mean by no communicaion..like BMC communication or feedback from sensors and etc??

Sounds exactly like VATS, just had this issue, chased my tail for weeks. Also as 5FDP says, MAP should read at 100 with engine off if im not mistaken.
