Man I was hoping to at least get a response since I posted up the fix.
I don't need them because I've seen what happens and know how to fix it and it's just with the normal tables that are available that deal with torque delivery and driver demand. So I'll say it...
Hate to tell you guys but there is no such thing as a slew rate table that will fix it, the opening rate of the throttle body is controllable with the currently available tables.
On manual cars you can do it either way but I prefer to keep the torque model correct and the MAF table correct and pull fuel out with the PE table for methanol. Yeah yeah pe doesn't match anymore...
This is the only way I have found on these.
I would leave the OS be and just tune with it, you can't upgrade to a "later gen" OS as the TCM inside is not compatible and there isn't anything to really be gained by changing it out for a...
Those are the two tables I talked about in my above post and yes it would remove all TM. Haven't really found another way with these earlier operating systems to eliminate that issue with a scalpel...
As a test zero out both of the engine / torque management / general / spark retard tables. Also consider changing out that OS to a 2001-2002 OS.
Ahh OK so it was just the wrong PID.
What was the fix for this? I had somebody ask me about that the other day and I said I'd never heard of it other than maybe a sensor was going bad?
How about for the E92s? Bench flashing the newer ECMs has become somewhat of an issue with off board programming restrictions with GM's SPS, TIS, etc. Having the ability to do a true write entire...
EFILive has had the tables I mentioned for a while now. :(
I second this, at least need desired shift times and inertia tables added along with actual specified units in the torque limit tables.
Not really but without seeing the tune I would just be guessing. It really does just sound like the pump took a shit for some reason though if it's just dropping off as soon as you got WOT at lower...
I suppose anything is possible but when we first tested this out I tried that as well and there were no issues afterwards.
Yes, we've done at least 3 that I can remember and we've not had any problems. Do not change the peak pulse table, my only guess is that there are other tables that interface with it for the...
Perfect!
I second what dsteck said about the Baro updating as well... :)
It doesn't exist in HPT for some reason and I really wish they would add this since I have to use another program to do TCM code deletes.
I have tuned many sets of the FIC 160s and they are just fine regardless of what you read on the internet. If you are a beginner and don't know how to get the offsets close then you are better off...
I look at it two ways...
The GenIV computer doesn't rely on that virtual VE table nearly as much as the GenIII did. On a GenIII PCM it's a requirement to do both to at least 4000 rpm for smooth...
I don't see a flex fuel switch in the editor which is strange and I still don't see how it's commanding that low of an AFR. Put the stoich table to 14.7 across the board and try again to rule it...
I would use a stock scanner definition and re-add desired a/f because something has got to be amiss in the scanner as nothing adds up to that a/f ratio that I can see in the file. Who the heck did...
I posted already in the LS1tech thread and am too lazy to copy and paste. LOL
The one nice thing about drilling a larger hole is that you get more "sweep" area of the blade in the bore of the TB which can aid in smoother off-idle transitions. I prefer that once I get to the...
Seeing as how this is a tuning forum I guess I don't see how carburetors are similar to injected vehicles in any way shape or form but if your only comparison between the two was making them run well...
