cuts out in high boost
took truck out saturday night, made a test pass on 10#. was gonna race someone so i turned boost controller up. ended up not racing and leaving. on way home i decided to see how it would do on higher boost on hwy. hit 21# and it was cutting out. did it twice just to monitor data better in boost. dont see anything out of ordinary. still working on tune so i know its not perfect
-
don't see any signs of knock or fuel issue.
-
21psi is a pretty decent amount of boost if I read that right... Make sure using really good plugs gapped right around .028" max... Good coils are needed at that point too... This is all if it's misfiring due to spark blow out...
-
yea plugs are gapped at .025 br73f plugs
build is all new but runs good 10-11 #
will take it out again soon n see. gonna pull plugs tomorrow for inspection
-
i would get that ve tuned right and check your fuel pressure at those boost levels
-
ve was richer than I had it commanded. if it was a fuel issue wb would show lean . commanded vs actual wasn't that far off
-
can you do some logs of the car
say 10# 13# 15# 18#
so you can slowly figure out whats going on.
hows your head studs like? headlift? HG?
-
yea will get some logs. have some at 10# will post n few. yes have head studs dobut head lifted runs good on 10# and out of boost. may take it out tomorrow for some more data
10# run log in first post along with 20# pull on way home

would this cause issue if i make more than 640 on higher boost?
-
-
did pull on higher boost on highway and it was reading 10.0 figured it was pegging gauge. pulled fuel in higher boost levels. it's no longer sputtering is now reading high 10s in boost. broke differential on last hit.
-
^ sounds like its all good now :)
-
yea still a little rich was at 10.6 commanded 11.5. what's weird to me is from want I've heard after 100 kpa ve cells should be close to 100 and go up from there. my cells are 60s n 70s and still needs some pulled.
another weird thing I have my ve pretty dang close 10-14# which is about the same number on ve at the 18# and it's showing rich. so 10-14 # is 60s-70s on ve and good less than 5% difference and 60s-70s on 18# is rich 19% different
-
still not sure why my ve table n boost is has 60-70s n cells and is still rich
-
Boost referenced regulator, meth? Post the latest tune - it may be something in injector settings too.
-
will do tonight. is aeromotive boost reference regulator with 58 psi Base pressure. no meth
