Please explain why the numbers are different?
Same car model. Same year of production.
Same motor (Vortec 4200), same PCM model, same MAP...
different numbers...
Which numbers are more correct? A value higher or a value lower?
How do high numbers affect tables?
How do lower numbers affect the table?

Could be that the calibrations are different as they possibly had a revision at a later date and the dealership flashed it at some point in it's life.
^^^ What he said. I update factory programming all the time with Techline Connect/SPS. Nearly every one I look at has some form of update for some malady that was inflicted by a software engineer on an OS. Worst case is some of the Duramax and the GM Envoy, trailblazer etc. 4.2's that have the electro viscous fan clutches. My god there would be a tree of updates 10 changes long JUST FOR THE FAN CLUTCH. Sometimes the reasoning isn't really even given as they don't want a tech on the internet spreading something that would fill a dealer up with customers wanting free non existent fixes.Quote:

If your looking for starter table values, then the analysis of difference tells us that it doesnt matter what you choose. Pick one and start logging AFR error in Speed Density mode. Error 5% or greater is worth tuning out.
Higher numbers in VE tables tell the computer there is more airflow in a certain spot. In return the computer adds fuel. Lower numbers does the opposite.
