Are you able to completely turn off closed loop lamda.

I can't switch it off completely.

I have set the "open loop TPS threshold" to 0% and I have put "closed loop sensor temp" to 2300 deg but then it will still operate at idle.

I want to tune completely in open loop.

Is there a way to do this??

I have also switched the number of O2 sensors to zero but then the car does not start at all???

This is tuning on Aussie Ford.

if you have the O2 sensors off the car will not start, have the front ones on

I max out the closed loop delay, then it will idle in open loop so you can tune it.

I had the O2 sensor on and switched it off in the software. No start

I have done that also but I want it switched off.

I am running E85 and this fuel needs to be run leaner than stoich in the driving areas of the map.

You can adjust the bias to get a leaner mixture in closed loop. I've never had any issues with running E85 at stoich though.

Much better fuel economy and the engine likes it running much leaner than stoich in normal driving with E85. E85 seems to have a much larger tuning window compared to normal gas.

Did try the Bias about a year ago with no success. Was using the the lc-1 to give the bias.

So I take it can't completely switch it off.

There is no switch. It's bizarre!

It would be good if Eric could put a switch in.

It falls into the same category as the t-MAP calibration!!
